Very good food, everything prepared to perfection. Super nice service. Price performance is totally right. For good eaters the portions could be a little larger. We discovered the restaurant and were just eating for the whole holiday!!!

Had a lovely lunchtime meal here with family including 1 year old. Staff were very friendly and food was tasty and seemed authentic.
I?d love to come back in the evening and try the a la carte dishes ??

Nice restaurant with plenty of breathing space. Back side of the restaurant there's a open hallway of art gallery with reception. Restaurants decorated nicely. Food is standard. Good for large party of 100 people. Will recommend.

Was really disappointed by the service in this place. We had an itison voucher and booked online. When we mentioned the voucher the staff were acting very concerned and brought the owner over. The owner was extremely rude and condescending to us. He explained that they can only accept bookings with the voucher over the phone. We didn?t know this, and even if that?s our bad, the delivery of him telling us this was extremely poor. We felt attacked and like we did something wrong. He said they make no money off the deal and his ?staff work like dogs? all day so it?s not fair on them. We were so confused, no one is forcing them to do the itison deal? Surely it brings in costumers like us who would?ve never gone there otherwise. He said if we are nice to him he will still let us use it (keep in mind we?ve not said a word at this point). The restaurant was also empty so you would think any costumer is a good one?
Anyway. The food was nice and well presented. Probably not worth the full price compared to other restaurants who serve similar food and are cheaper and a better atmosphere. The staff were all very quiet and timid, which makes me think they were probably scared of the owner. We felt uneasy throughout our dinner and could barely get the staffs attention. Almost like they were told to ignore us because of the voucher? Unfortunately will not be going back here.

The place is very stylish. The staff was courteous.
We ordered garlic chilli chicken gravy and rotis which were really delicious. Tender cooked chicken with good flavours. We had order samosa chat for starters and I was a bit disappointing to see cucumber and English cabbage in it as traditional India chats don't have them!

Terrible experience with this restaurant. I bought an itison voucher wanting to test out this restaurant, made a booking online successfully via their website. When communicated with the front of house staff regarding the voucher and booking, the communication was terrible on the phone leading to a misunderstanding, we arrived at the restaurant telling us we can't use the voucher today because they have limited bookings allowed for itison vouchers. I asked the staff how many tables do you have for itison customers because your restaurant is clearly almost empty right now, the staff had no clue and had to ask the manager. Supposedly only five tables allowed for Sundays when the reasturant only had three tables taken at the time (less than 15% of their capacity) . The restaurant was basically empty but they do not have the curtersy to accommodate their customers.
We were asked to go with the other menu while who would want to spend money in a restaurant with zero customer service experience.
BTW when I asked if they can provide two high chairs for my kids, they said they only have one. Again based on how empty the restaurant was, they are either not being honest or not having the capacity for people with young kids. So not a family friendly place.
In summary, the restaurant has the following reasons that you should avoid:
1. Not friendly front of house staff
2. Bad communication and complicated booking system
3. No flexibility when dealing with customers
4. Not family friendly to cater people with young children

A new arrival on King St. Merchant city, occupying the old Cosachek russian restaurant premises. Decor has been updated using the very popular hanging garden baskets look. The effect is very welcoming and pleasant on the eye. On this occasion we had the special lunchtime menu which was very good Dal vegetarian and Chicken Quorma were both excellent. Only complaint i had was that accompanying Paratha was probably the smallest i had been served anywhere. It was though of excellent quality.Service was quick and staff were very friendly and attentive. I think a return visit is necessary to sample the evening main menu.
There are some great introductory offers available at Kinara until mid July. Easily found on King St just off Trongate. I wish Kinara much success in the Future.

Newly opened..tried Kinara out and was most impressed. The food is absolutely delicious. Some curries we had not previously heard of and a good selection including vegetarian and vegan options. Great service and a warm welcome. Kingfisher lager on tap, good wine options. Very reasonably priced including pre theatre 2 course for £16 and course lunch menu £10. We will return
