The tag line is 'budget' and indeed, the accommodation and other facilities are at that level, although the cost for the C2C weekend wasn't that 'budget'! However, the room, whilst basic, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - a wee bit on the warm side for me, and the window open let the rich sounds of a Glasgee weekend in too readily (Saturday nights siren symphony went on for some hours, people actually doing road works at 7 a on a Sunday an unpleasant surprise!), but when closed was very sound proof. Breakfast was also basic but a good range of tea, coffee, toast, pastries and cold meats / cheese. And fruit. Plenty to fill up on for the day ahead. And the staff were excellent - all very friendly and attentive, despite the busyness they found themselves in. A credit to them and the management. Situated in the Quay, there's also good choices of food on site if required, and the centre of town is about a 30 minute walk (with buses right outside the complex if that's too far to walk). I'd certainly consider staying here again, especially for gigs at the Hydro (15 /20 min windy walk away).

Rooms: Very small and bathrooms are pathetic

This turned out to be ok.At first glance I was worried. Very unwelcoming entrance tucked in the corner of a small retail park. Take the elevator to floor 6 for reception. But the service there was good. Up to the room on floor 8. The room was a bit compact but had most things needed, especially 2 single beds, needed as my son was with me. He smokes but did not seem to mind heading down/up 8 floors to do so.Very reasonable price, and we were attending a concert at the Hydro, so a 15 minute walk there, location VG.Coffee not provided in room, had to go down to breakfast area on floor 6 for a cuppa, not ideal but not a big thing and it was free. The free coffee was not the best I gave tasted tho.

The staff were wonderful, extremely hardworking, very kind and helpful, particularly the redheaded gentleman who went above and beyond checking in with guests (not just us) and asking how their days/evenings had been. He is a real credit to the hotel and deserves lots of recognition for it. We hope he manages to get to the next Country music festival! The hotel and room was clean, very basic facilities but that's to be expected when booking. Had everything we needed. Free parking is a real bonus. Tea and coffee facilities downstairs were great as meant you didn't have to use the tiny milk capsules which never hold enough! Location for Ovo Hydro was convenient in addition to the proximity to eateries etc. 24/7 pizza is another real selling point as means you can get something if you return to the hotel late. The rooms could probably do with modernising but it's a budget hotel and to be expected really, we have been in more modern hotels that did not match up to the cleanliness and customer service levels of this hotel. Check out time was great, bed was comfortable, shower had enough pressure. The absolute star though was without a doubt the front of house staff and the cleaners who had done an exceptional job. Very pleased with our stay.

I had a really good experience with an inquiry I made recently. The staff member was extremely polite and helpful. I was really impressed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Tiny rooms but good locationThe space at the reception is great for studying, socializing, and you can fill your bottles with water for free from thereVery limited options for breakfast- not worth paying for it when Chaiwala is only 2 mins away with the best breakfast ever ??

Good location and free parking but total lack of the most basic facilities and small, cramped noisy room. Even for budget price, booked many months ahead I expected more than this. Much worse than a Premier Inn Hub booked at similar price the month before.

Definitely "budget"... Didn't even separate the bathroom! ?. Beds fine though, and would suit just about anyone for a quick one night stay.

Don't expect a kettle or anything like that this is really a bed, shower, loo and tv and nothing more.We have stayed here before so we learned there are no outlets or usb charging ports anywhere near the bed. We need outlets for medical equipment near the bed so now have learned to bring a long extension leads in fact we bring two one for each side of the bed which has to go across the room. The other issue was this time our loo roll holder literally was held on with tape. Other than that our room was fine. There was a very loud woman in the hall on speakerphone late at night my husband eventually opened the door and asked her to please leave the hall as people were trying to sleep. We do love the very friendly staff, we love the price we love that its comfortable beds and if you need a budget-friendly place with lots of amenities right near by then I highly recommend this hotel. We stay here for any Gigs we go to at OVO which is a very short journey away. Just don't expect anything extra or fancy its a place to sleep and wash essentially.Walkability: Many things close by from food, to entertainment etc....
