“I visited this shop today after a major DIY superstore told me they couldn't help because their one single plumber was off for the weekend. Almost defeated, I visited Scott's and spoke to a lovely young man who immediately found the part I needed and explained exactly what to do with it. The result was, I fixed my sink and washing machine myself and am now a happy woman. Highly recommended !!!”

“Amazing service from Chic yesterday. Gave us professional advice about floor tiles, got an amazing deal, provided us with contacts for local tradesmen and even assisted putting our tiles in the boot of the car. Not many places offer this level of service these days. Highly recommended.”

“The only con I have is that we couldn't view the inventory because it was all behind the counter. This meant that you really have to know what you want and be able to describe it to the person behind the counter. My experience went very well.”

“Yesterday I visited the screwfix at parkhead. I was looking to buy a number of lines my electrician gave me to help out . Total novice I approached the counter and a very friendly lady asked if she could help . She took me over to one of the system and explained how to narrow range down etc and helped me pick what I required . She then served two tradesmen who had came in . The system was having a bit of difficulty or maybe it was me ? .She noticed came back over and helped then took me to the counter as the database is continuing to update at one point She offered to pick up 2 items from a branch in East kilbride to help me out as she stayed. Lose. Going beyond in the end I managed to get the order from parkhead store. As I looked at her badge .Karen was her name I noticed branch manager to be honest she is a total credit .outstanding customer service . I will get to pick up my remaining ordered items on Sunday. Please pass on my gratitude to Karen you are whats missing in a lot of places good customer service. Superb”

“I was standing in the trade part of the store. Diane gave me a wee shout saying she would be right with me as well as another member of staff only about a minute later. Very busy and they were trying so hard to deal with everyone. Diane even remembered my name before I got to the checkout. Its nice when nice people are about. Speaking of nice, Hey Screwfix, it would be nice if you maybe gave them another member of staff. :) Thank you.Back up today for more things. Another great person to deal with was Thomas. All the staff in fact in this store have been brilliant. Great team of people.”

“It’s surprisingly huge once you step across the threshold. Prices are pretty reasonable. I wouldn’t really go asking staff for recommendations tho as when I asked for gloss paint I was looked at as if I had two heads. To be worked on is the website. You can find all the stuff on google but then trying to get the same product on the website is impossible. Zero filters. So outdated. If you want to buy best go in store”

“Brilliant service from the staff at Jewsons. I needed some materials for a landscaping project and was pretty clueless about how some of it worked. I created a personal account to qualify for a promotion on some of the materials, and had a completely unexpected phone call from one of the sales team who gave me some advice on how best to order and how to utilise the deliveries etc.I ordered on a Friday and the materials were delivered on the Tuesday (per my request- I'm sure it could have been earlier if i was available) Big bulk bags of aggregate nicely delivered onto my driveway. Bags also came in handy for the cleanup afterwards.Surprised at the number of materials and variety available, and the ease of ordering and pickup/ delivery. Will definitely use again.”

“Although prices can be a bit more expensive than everyone else, hence why I knocked a star off. I 've used the online service and delivery was quick. Staff were helpful when I've phoned up with any queries, so it makes up for being a little more expensive than other retailers.”

“The 5 stars is for the people, tradepoint seems to hire really decent people. I've never been in a trade point where the staff haven't been brilliant, super helpful and friendly, really friendly. The trade point deals themselves are a bit rubbish, your as well going to screwfix or toolstation tbh. But if you need a hand with something you can't go wrong with the tradepoint staff!”

“I went in today to get some electrical tape for my bike handle bars and so I could secure my front light which was slipping down and it worked perfectly! The service was first class, so pleasant and such friendly and helpful service!!! After working some long days, I was escaping for some quiet time out on the bike and was a pleasure to come here. He showed my son how the paint is mixed, and my little boy was over the moon. The name of the guy was Neil, and he was very polite and nice from start to finish.
