I booked my car into Halfords (Rutherglen) for 2 replacement front tyres 2 weeks ago (Monday 13/2/24). I am quite happy with the tyres, but not at all impressed with the state of my car afterwards. The near side wing panel is now badly scratched. The photos issued by Halfords during the health check show no signs of these scratches. I returned to the autocentre shortly afterwards and showed the damage to Charlie, the receptionist. His attitude was cavalier to say the least and told me that the scratches looked to be old ones. He then loaded the photos onto his computer and enlarged them for further investigation, claiming he could clearly see the damage and that I may not have noticed them. I replied that I could not see the scratches and that I would have noticed them. Charlie then told me, unconvincingly, he would have pointed out this damage to me if it had been the fault of his staff. I believe that the fitter has caused the damage during the replacement. Anyway, I have already completed the Halfords feedback form, informing them of my concerns. I have still not heard back from the Rutherglen autocentre.

this is my last time as a customer here. My MOT failed because of this (see photo):Driver's view of the road through the swept area of the windscreen significantly affected by an obstruction objects hanging from rear view mirror (3.1 (a) (ii))the guy there told me this is the law. Probably i am illegal for the last 25 years.Avoid this garage.

One of the worst Garage every .. ****Avoid****I have given my bmw for 10 point car check and literally it ended up with scratches on the car.Graeme was literally arguing saying it is not the new one ..

Staff were so helpful when I needed a new window wiper for my car and very quick with changing. Also, I joined the motoring club and saved £5 just by signing up. Well done, you guys

I do not recommend this garage to anyone. Changed the engine oil. What it was black, and remained black. I asked the guys to show me the old oil, but they refused to do so. I wanted to see how they change the oil, but they forbade me to go into the garage. I have a feeling that they do not change the oil at all and deceive people. It felt like they didn't even change the oil filter but just cleaned it to make it look like new. The senior garage foreman is a very rude person. He deceived me by saying that he sent an invoice to my email, but I never received an invoice. All in all, I would not recommend this garage.

Avoid at all costs!! I have been using this garage for years and was a loyal customer. However, at most most recent visit they tried to rip me off by telling me I needed brake drums and cylinders replaced, when they had told me two weeks previously I only needed brake shoes. They also tried to charge me £60 more than they quoted two weeks prior after seemingly being unable to find the original quote. I am massively unhappy about this and will not be returning under any circumstances. Be warned!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Work was done, was a delay but service manager advised before and apologized afterwards. Waiting area was absolutely fine for a 2hr wait time.

HALFORDS rip offCar went in for MOT- Guy phoned me up quoting £400 and tried to pressure me into getting the work done with them stating ?I can?t drive it elsewhere because it had failed? this is completely false as I had no dangerous faults and an MOT valid for 3weeks.I asked the guys about what was actually needed to be done and the staff seemed fairly clueless. Something seemed off so got my keys and went elsewhere.To my surprise..PASSED with no work to be done.

Shocking experienceI booked my car in for a service at halfords autocentre Rutherglen G731SX 8.30am dropped the car off and waited for the call to pick it back up. Unfortunately this never came and they ended up keeping my car overnight with no communication or warning, leaving me stranded
