I predominantly use the Marriott chain of hotels when stopping away, hence why the Marriott is my first choice in Glasgow. To be perfectly honest, it's a little bit tired and dated, but at the time of writing (March 24), the hotel is going through a referbishment project. The rooms aren't particularly big but they are equipped with everything you need, there is an executive lounge (if you book an exec room) with complimentary alcoholic drinks and snacks, and quite a good gym and swimming pool. It's located on the edge of the Glasgow city centre, right off the motorway, but it does fall within the new Glasgow LEZ zone, so be careful if driving and your car is in compliant. I think there are about 180 parking spaces, costing £12 a 24h per resident.

3 night stay for business, great location, not far from city centre, for those fit enough to walk, 5 minute walk to Central Station and 2 minutes from Anderston station if it's wet New menu this visit, with some old favourites still there.Friendly

Rooms are good, but not great. I believe the hotel is going to undergo renovation and then the rooms may get more modernised. Very close to city centre, so that is a great advantage.Swimming pool, steam, and sauna along with the gym are really good .Morning, breakfast is good, but very limited vegetarian items.

Can't complain about the team. As always they were amazing. I feel the buffet breakfast was actually very good although would have benefited from an omelette station. The worst thing for us were the beds...they were rock hard and that affected out 5 night stay. Overnight is one thing but staying longer I would have expected something a little softer. It's a pity that we arrived in mid (building) works as I would have liked to have stayed when it was completed as the pictures of what it will be, look amazing. Finally there was no complimentary bottles of water. To me that's a must, these days.Good to see they had handrails in the bathroom

Not really caring about the service at this point. The rooms are awful. Roasting hot, unworkable air-conditioning and the noise is poor. This place is not 4 star. I think it needs regraded. It's a 2 star at best.

Was told our booking had been changed upon our request, called up again just to confirm as I worry easily! Turns out the booking was never changed, no notes were attached to the booking even though we?re told they were, no record of us ever phoning even though we have atleast four times! Been absolutely fleeced by them! Have phoned to try find some way of getting this sorted, they couldn?t care any less!

I only used the parking facilities at the hotel but had to go to the hotel to use their bathroom. Spotless. Such pleasant and helpful staff and for this reason should I stay in Glasgow I know where I will be booking.

All depends on who you meet and which room you are in.. Some staff are awesome.. some could do with a bit more training.. One time room had no signal for TV.. another time the TV was brand new and could stream TV from phone... Breakfast has always been good.. One time desk was too thin.. Duvets could be a bit thicker.. if the hair dryer on the wall isn't working then there is one in the wardrobe.. Also if you are tall this may not be the hotel for you..
