Good overall experience, wasn?t ready to purchase, staff all friendly and understanding, smiling as you pass, saying hello, asking if you need any help and just letting you get on with it, ideal shopping experience. I have bought a couple of sofas from this branch, and wouldn?t hesitate to purchase my next one

DFS Sold Me a Defective Sofa ? Now I?m Taking Legal Action After Weeks of Dismissive Service
I purchased a leather corner sofa from DFS with the expectation of receiving a quality product and professional aftercare. What I received was a structurally flawed, substandard sofa and a deeply frustrating experience that?s still ongoing ? and I am now taking legal action through my solicitor.
?? The Sofa Arrived With Defects from Day One
From the moment the sofa was delivered, it was clear something wasn?t right. The entire frame was misaligned, visibly skewed and unstable when sat on. This wasn?t a matter of personal taste ? the structure was physically out of line. The finish of the leather was inconsistent and cheap-looking, far from what was shown in-store and online.
I immediately contacted DFS to report these issues. I was polite and clear, expecting them to investigate and offer a proper resolution under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which states that goods must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. I believed this would be straightforward ? it wasn?t.
??? Service Manager /Upholstery Technician Visit: Condescending and Defensive
Instead of offering a meaningful solution, DFS sent out an ?upholstery technician? who claimed to have 30 years of experience. Rather than genuinely inspecting the sofa or acknowledging the obvious issues, he simply dismissed my concerns and declared everything was ?normal.?
Let?s be honest ? this technician works for DFS, so his ?independent assessment? felt biased from the start. His tone and attitude gave me the impression that his real job was to protect DFS from taking responsibility, not to help customers. If this is what DFS calls ?expert assessment,? then their standards are shockingly low.
? DFS Customer Service: Dismissive, Unhelpful, and Evasive
Despite raising my concerns multiple times and even writing a formal email to management (which I took time and care to do with legal references), DFS continued to deflect blame. They refused to accept that the sofa was below standard. No replacement, no compensation, no goodwill gesture ? just a blanket refusal to accept that anything was wrong, despite visual evidence and the discomfort caused by the misalignment.
It?s become obvious that once DFS has your money, the care stops. Their after-sales support feels robotic and disinterested, and they seem trained to wear down customers rather than help them. At no point did I feel listened to or respected.
?? Now Taking Legal Action
Due to DFS?s complete refusal to resolve this fairly, I?ve now had to instruct a solicitor. I?m taking formal legal action to hold DFS accountable for supplying a defective product and failing to uphold my consumer rights. I should not have to fight this hard just to receive what I paid for.
DFS has wasted my time, caused me stress, and left me with a sofa I?m not happy with in my own home ? a space that should be comfortable and relaxing. I?ve tried to resolve this amicably, but they clearly don?t care.
? Final Word: Avoid DFS
I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid DFS. Their product quality is unreliable, and their aftercare is among the worst I?ve experienced. If anything goes wrong, expect to be fobbed off with weak excuses and internal technicians who dismiss everything as ?normal.?
I never thought I?d need a solicitor just to sort out a sofa, but here I am. Learn from my experience ? take your business elsewhere.

Ridiculous service , paid so much for a tv cabinet and it came damaged, and they didn?t even accept fault.dont buy from here.

Do not use DFS, absolute shocker of an organisation. You will wait 3 months for your sofas and dining chairs/table for it only to arrive with stains on your 'brand new' sofa and the wrong chairs. The time spent trying to rectify this was horrendous and DFS could not care less. They are not interested to help and offer no satisfactory recompense to mitigate any sort of shortfall in service. I would never purchase from here again.

I do not recommend DFS to anyone because you will have to wait for your furniture for 3 months. The sellers keep quiet about this and say it only when you are ready to make a payment.

Mmm bought atwo sofas last year , asked me to put a good report into trust pilot , learned my lesson wait till your issues with this company is resolved took nearly 4 month to get new legs for our sofa
