“Great place to shop with lots of bargains to be had. The store is extremely clean and tidy and there are lots of checkouts so waiting time is reduced. The staff are always courteous, friendly and helpful. Particularly good for seasonal items like gardening, Easter, Halloween, Christmas at very good prices. I buy a lot of cleaning products there as they're often cheaper than supermarkets.”

“I shop in matalan most weeks and always find lots of nice clothes at reasonable prices.
I would just like to mention that all staff are very nice but one member of staff called Sandra goes above and beyond regardless of how busy she is. She is always smiling and so happy at her job. Keep up the good customer care i always enjoy a wee shopping trip to matalan bishopbriggs.”

“Unlike its clothing counterpart Next Home is mostly a quality affair albeit at quite high prices.

This unit is vast and spread over two floors. Covering everything from sofas, lighting and kitchenware. Whilst not the most logical layout it is clean, bright and tidy.

Have shopped here previously and the staff have been really happy to help.

Keep your eye on the website for flash events and sale promotions to maximise your value. There is often money to be saved by just waiting a short while, especially as seasons change.”

“Excellent customer service from the staff at Next Silverburn. My Directory parcel went missing and the staff went above and beyond to help me in a friendly and efficient manner. Thanks in particular to Gemma and another young guy who was serving on the tills at the time, they both provided excellent customer service.”

“short queues, efficient, friendly staff, fresh produce that actually is fresh and lasts at home for week, okay for top up shop or meal deal or tobacco but not the place for a full grocery shop as the range is not extensive.”

“Nostalgia hits hard, it’s a shop which feels like it’s stuck in time, in the best way possible. At least for me personally it has great memories of the nostalgic tiles from being very young, unlike modern shops (which are great too!)”

“During my time in glasgow, a very friendly and kind staff member let me use their staff toilet due to not feeling so good. Thank you for letting this happen as my anxiety was very high at that time also.”

“Great store for menswear. Visited yesterday and was quite impressed. Next branded clothing is really good quality. The layout of the store is very good. There was a sale section and I managed to acquire a few bargains. Didn't have much time so I am going back again next week for a better look.”

“John Lewis Glasgow is one of the largest department stores in the city, located at the top of Buchanan Street, as a part of Buchanan Galleries. The store may not be as modern as some of the newer John Lewis stores, but it makes up for it by having a nice selection of items you'd expect to find in a John Lewis from clothing to fragrances and technology. There is also an Optician and a Cafe inside. The store was still tidy and presented well. The store stretches over five floors, including a basement. There are toilets on two floors which is handy and I often find these both quieter and cleaner than the ones actually inside the shopping centre. There weren't too many staff members around the floor, although due to the size, it would be difficult to have someone everywhere. The staff seemed friendly when I did find someone. I do think it's a waste for such a big department store in a big city to be closing at 6 pm, other than on Thursdays, when they close at 7 pm. It just seems way too early, although it is in line with some smaller stores nearby, there are shops open later so I can't see why John Lewis can't either. One of my favourite stores in the city, I do prefer this to other department stores nearby. I do prefer the John Lewis in Edinburgh though, which after John Lewis in Aberdeen closed is their only other branch in Scotland. 4*”

“Great shop. Staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. Just a shame more of them aren't on the tills. The self service area is only suitable for a few items. I actually complained tonight about lack of staff serving. Also disappointing that lots of lovely baked goods are uncovered.”

“Staff were helpful and courteous. Don’t know if they were going that extra bit because of my disability or they were just nice, but I have nothing bad to say about them. Thank you!!!”
