Staff were friendly and welcoming but hotel needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard. Unfortunately can't recommend it as it is just now. Great location but can't get away from the fact it needs serious attention.

For £35 a night ( that`s £17.50 per person ) don`t expect a spa bath with views over the river Clyde and a trendy cocktail bar with pony tailed mixologists, I`m sure all can be found nearby for another £150 a night. What you get is a friendly welcome, a voucher to use for nearby car parking which saves about £15 a day, a comfy bed, nice big towels ( the room comes with 1 bath towel but the lift takes you to the ground floor where the friendly staff will immediately give you another ) a decent shower with a shower curtain that doesn`t wrap itself round you and actually stops water spraying onto the floor. The hotel bar and restaurant is currently closed but they offer a fairly reasonable room service menu. We stayed 2 nights and chose the option to hang our own towels up and straighten the duvet, quite clever and helps keep the costs down

Checked in friendly enough. Went to room to find it in disrepair and quite frankly shabby. Lack of power points and scored marked work tops throughout. Room booked for 2 people but only towels and pillows for one. Worst thing overnight toilet flush fell apart so unable to flush toilet therefore unusable Spoke to reception around 9am told they would take it off hire once we checked out maintenance would attend on Monday. No apology or even quried how we were coping without a toilet we weren't both in discomfort and having to get lift fromb5th floor to 1st to use public toilets . Website has no way of logging complaints awful experience

The staff I encountered were very friendly, cheery, and efficient, checking in, using Covid-19 safeguards in the restaurant, and checking out. But the hotel itself is showing its age, needing painting in places, worn carpeting, things like that. The office buildings in the surrounding blocks are mostly closed, due to the pandemic. There were a few people panhandling on the streets, but that?s not just in the hotel?s neighborhood, it?s also around George Square. Still, it added to the seedy atmosphere of this hotel. It?s very inexpensive, so that?s a plus, and breakfast was good.

This hotel is our go to place when staying in Glasgow as prices are very affordable and the rooms are so comfy. The rooms are also very clean and the beds are very comfortable too. The hotel is also very central as it is less than a 10 minute walk to reach the city centre shops and restaurants.

Great location, friendly staff and the Costa standard of food and drink you would expect. An ideal place for a quiet coffee

Standard Costa you get a decent coffee at a reasonable price.

Smelly toilets. Friendly staff but not the best location as the whole hotel on the outside looks shabby.

Does what it says on the tin.
Staff always happy to chat to each other.
Always the same in this store
But their coffee is pretty standard and see the best caramel shortcake on the high street except my own.
Give it a hurl.
Note it's shut Sunday's and closes early sat and about 6 each weekday.
