Place is a joke me n trans my friend got banned for a month showed up last night to be told we couldn't come back till August so spoke to the manager and funnily enough we got told we could come in and if we had one more incident we were banned permanently then at the back of 2am we got told to leave cause a claim had been made against my trans friend yet again spoke to a different manager and told him how I felt explained im autistic aswell and felt like we were getting treated badly from the staff for him to be holding in his grin and his female blonde staff member trying to put her 2 pence in trying to change the allegation story , staff n bouncers clearly think their the police or something and it absolutely stunk of bo bloody gross . AVOID

Couldn't get into the door I haven't had a drink and this 5'5'' ginger bouncer would let me in because I was by myself like what is up with that.
Please sort it out completely ruined my night out.

Music taste for the mentally challenged, service far from desired. Waiting 20mins for a drink with four people on the bar but only one serving. Not WORTH the ENTRY FEE!! Save ur time folks

Awful experience in first time. We usually spend in weekends at cathouse once in a month. I followed in instagram since 3 years ago. Yesterday me and my friend were there. I suddenly went to the toilet and a security rushed in inside and asked what are you doing.i said i came to pee and wash my face and he gone. After 10 minutes another security came to us and said we got a complaint about you so we need to leave otherwise call police. We were totally shocked and confused. Look a bit starring and racism. This is not first time happening here. They always doing this to asians. Very disappointed. Never ever going here again.i would not recommend this place if you are asian.

I was refused entry after showing my younge Scot?s card on a henny and explaining I didn?t own a passport or drivers license. Had to go back to the hotel early due to this ?

Security staff was soo bad , girl with long black hair stole my friend blunt ,then she told me that she dont give it back because it was on cameras and she can call police if I want (ok)
But then I see that she gave this blunt for other worker of this stupid club and he just go smoke it ?
Hope he has nice trip after that x poor people

Ridiculous door staff, me and my partner come regularly, and never had issues before, but today the door man decided my 30 year old wife didn?t look old enough and denied her entry.
Didn?t mind letting in the blokes who looked about 13 without checking ID after midnight though ?
Educate your staff.

Always a fun night if you?re into the alt music scene. Everyone who goes there has always been respectful, especially competent to other club experiences.
Two floors with different music genres, seating available and an outside smoking area. Cloakroom available too.
Bathrooms are usually decent enough and drinks are reasonable. Bar staff are all friendly
The DJs do sometimes jump from one genre to another way too quick or throw in random songs, especially towards the end of the night.

Name is misleading there was no cats here. Shame because with the rodents they have concerns with that's in papers that would solve some problems.

Bouncers are on a power trip, used to dealing with drunk teenagers not adults! They need training in how to face paying customers, very poor standards, will not be back there! A great gig spoiled by over zelous poorly trained door staff! Would give zero stars if it was an option!

Handed in a legal carry pocket knife at entrance and was told by the member of staff that I could go to the cloak room at end of night to retrieve it. At the end of night the member of staff lied to my face and said they didn't say that and they only told me I "might" be able to. Instead I was told if I wanted my property back(which is legal to carry with no restrictions) I'd have to go back between 12pm-4pm on a working day to get it back. I wasn't given any reason why except "this is a weapon" (its not), its a pocket knife with a blade less than 3 inches used to open boxes and I dont drink. If I'd known this, I would have just taken it back to car and left it there.
I'm not from Glasgow so to go get it back would require a day off work and a 90 mile round trip. I've basically resigned to the fact that they've stolen this item from me and its gone. The fact they can withhold it from me when I'm leaving is frankly shocking.
The band (the Scarlet Rebels) were excellent but this encounter completely ruined my night.
As a side note I've never seen so much security for a small club/bar with live music, never once have I been searched in similar venues in Edinburgh. They really know how to make people feel unwelcome here...

Where do I message complaints about your bouncers? They are totally out of order saying people are drunk when they don?t even drink!! And I don?t understand your system of and men only and women only queue (never mind the fact the women?s queue is a lot quicker and shorter) clearly sexist. I came to your club after the queens of the Stone Age gig last weekend and was allowed in no problem. Unfortunately my friend who was totally sober was not allowed in because he was ?drunk? he was not, he just tripped up the step. I?d already gone in and paid entry for both of us and waited at the top of the stairs for him, to get a phone call saying your bouncers wouldn?t allow him entry. At which point I left and we went elsewhere, no problem getting in there what so ever since both of us were sober. In my opinion all you are after is to make money of off the women coming in in the ?women only? queue which quite frankly is rather unsafe, sexist and dangerous for women entering a club alone. You took my money then wouldn?t let my friend in for no apparent reason except bouncers being power struck, yet refused a refund when I had been in less than 5 minutes. I feel as if it is just a money making scheme. ?Get the lass in, pay entry for both, then refuse the lad so they both leave, but they pay double? total bollocks and a terrible way to run a business
Men only and women only queues, is that really allowed in this day and age

Attempted to enter this venue again at the weekend and once again my friend was told he was ?too drunk? to enter. After reading other reviews I?m suprised you actually have any customers left, the amount of people being told they are too drunk when in fact they are sober. We won?t be back. Security is are an absolute joke and will end up getting you closed down.
