“This is a cute little shop with various gift options. I got a mug there for myself and it is gorgeous. If you are around this area definitely do give a visit. You might end up definitely getting something for yourself or someone you thought of! ? They have a variety of things in there … from jewellery, mugs, stuffed toys, souvenirs to key chains and decors. I have added my mug below.”

“I am usually not the one to write a review about a post office but this must be said, the customer service of this establishment is fantastic. The younger gentleman is very efficient and observant of what the customers are doing and wanting to have done when they enter the premises. I don't normally notice good customer service, but when it goes slightly beyond of average, it is noticeable.”

“I was in this fabulous post office today, to have my passport renewed using their digital 'click and send' service. It was a great experience, as well as being reliable and very cost-effective.I had been dreading the whole thing - I hate having my photograph taken. However, Natalie, who arranged everything for me, was lovely and kind - so much so, that I happily relaxed.Meanwhile, the young man who let me through the door at 9am sharp was so polite and friendly.This is my favourite Post Office, and I always make a point of using it when I can. The staff are consistently wonderful, friendly and efficient.Thank you, folks - you are all appreciated!”

“I love shopping here. The shop has a fine location, is attractively laid out, well lit and stocks an amazingly wide selection of stationery. I can always get what I need here. The prices are good and there are often excellent deals. I find the ladies who are assistants knowledgeable and very helpful. They always know where to find what I am looking for and they are great at discussing different options. I wish all stationers were like Ryman Stationery, Byres Road.”

“The works is an Aladdin's cave of books, stationary, games and toys. In today's tough retail climate they have struggled and had to close some branches like my local in Rutherglen Mitchell Arcade shopping centre. They always have interesting bargains. Several times i have made purchases pertaining to my own little foible, Aircraft of WW2. At least, unlike the unfortunate Wilco they are still trading despite the economic downturn hard times?.”

“Sells greeting cards and gifts for all occasions. There is a vast array of cards which means that it can be quite cramped when the shop is busy. The staff are very helpful and will be happy to help you find a card. This store is also one of the few to stock Disney Tsum Tsums which are the perfect small gift for Disney fans. They also stick a large selection of wrapping paper and meaning that all your gift need can be serviced by a single visit to this store. The store also stocks gift cards should you be in a gift buying quandry”

“Had a problem on Sunday with a helium gas cannister. My wife phoned the shop at the Fort and spoke to staff. I took the faulty cannister back and was given a full refund whilst a member of staff very kindly blew up the rest of the balloons which were for a memorial service an hour later !!!! Great service. Thank you so much.”

“I'm just updating this review to reflect the fact that the cafe bit has long since left the building! Instead, the area to the left of the ramp now has lots of interesting stationery and other knick-knacks - notebooks, wrapping papers, local interest books, games and general 'stuff'. It's a good place to browse for that little stocking-filler present for somebody. The other side still carries a good selection of cards.Things have gotten busier now, and there's often a longer queue for the post office than there used to be. They do have a self-service machine, but I've always found it unreliable and seldom trust it to complete a transaction without something going wrong. It's worth keeping an eye on the shop counter while you're queuing for the post office, as they will often call you over if they're not too busy.”
