Very good experience this morning. Food was excellent although Toasters for bread could be faster. Pauline was very pleasant and welcoming. Makes a difference to your visit.

What a lovely restaurant but more importantly it's the people who make this one. Allison in particular is so friendly and welcoming every time we go. And we come here loads. Sometimes you just don't want to bother cooking and this is always our first choice because we know it will be warm and cosy, the food will be well cooked and hot but most of all it will feel like home.

We had a lovely breakfast as part of our package staying at the next door Premier Inn. Food was delicious (good quality bacon rashers) woth lota of choice, and service by Debbie was fantastic. We didn't have to wait to be seated or served, she was patient taking our hot food order while we got the little one started with some continental items (he was very hungry!) And all our requests were catered for (I had 2 different types of eggs!) Would happily return next time we are in the area visiting family and I'd like to try the restaurant for dinner too.

Black Bear is what you expect from a Beefeater, nicely cooked food, a cozy atmosphere and a very friendly service for a reasonable price. And it is still open!!! They were great accommodating special requirements as well, and the usual veggie options were also available ?
