First time in my life I see a charity shop refusing a donation. I had it all packed and in pristine state. There is very big brands in these bags and I have now to go and find another place to park etc. Another charity shop, it?s just annoying. Single mum, no time for nonsense? what I particularly didn?t like is that at first they were going to take my bags but when I said I wanted to keep one of these bags, they changed their mind and pretended they had no more space in the back. I am a regular customer of this charity shop and just had a look at the back : it was all clearly empty. I do not like to be lied to. Well there is a first time for everything as they say?

Absolute top notch quality customer service from an older looking chap named scott. Very well dressed and obviously well educated as he could tell me the difference between a pastel drawing and a watercolour. I wish all barnardos had a scott in them. They should change the name to scotts. Will be back.

CHARITY DOES NOT MEAN EVERYTHING IS YOURS FOR FREE.Today 6/1/22 this bed tray desk of mine was leaned on the wall at the very entrance of the charity shop t for just a few minutes. It disappeared.. I did put the desk there not to be confused with Barnardo's stuff. Almost sure the man who picked up ( you, the one at the back office you know who I am saying) saw me leaving it, because I saw him around. I asked at the cash point and the guy went back office to ask for. The tray was returned, but the white bag that covered ti not... "where is the white bag?"..."I don't know". The funny thing is that the first response from the guy has been " we do not collect furniture" so excuse of getting confused as it were a donation does not work here. Please take care next time. Bad for you pal ( yourself, exactly, you know who).

A very expensive charity shop where most items are way over priced, l know they are a charity but its sad when It's actually cheaper to buy some items here brand new.I've seen clothes with a rips in the neck area, who would buy that and the same with the shoes where someone has ripped them also.

Bought a second hand couch from Barnardo's in May. It wouldnt fit through the door so the guys took it apart and lifted it through the window. They also re assembled in the living room. Brilliant service and delighted with my couch

It's quite good for odd bits of furniture, but they also have a different section that's more 'classic' charity shop.

Ok so I wrote myself a reminder for this review on the iphone app that read: Holy Prices! In all honesty I was kinda tempted to just leave it at that and publish cos, well not go on about ut, but jeez! HOLY PRICES. Just to clarify, this is a HP them prices are high, not HP them's cheap! Having just moved to the area I was keen on hitting up the local charity shops (coffee shops, pubs, charity shops... in that order) to sort oot the wheat from the chaff. With the uber successful visit to the nearby Shelter under my belt, I popped in here for a shifty at the furiture / schtuff (nae claithes in this joint) and was whacked in the face by a big HP (underline, bold, change font to 24). Ok so I know charity shops are designed to raise awareness of the charity and making a few pennies at the same time. I get this... I do. I also don't want to sound like a cheap ass, but hey, when I go to a charity joint, I don't expect to be looking at furniture with three digit price tags... how much was it new?! In fairness to the folks, the gear is generally in good nick (we picked up a couple of wee IKEA for the small child like one, for £3 a pop, that were barely used), with a wide selection to look at. But HP... HP.
