My happy place! Massive store with garden, sheet wood cutting service, tradepoint and building area. Rows of well ordered and stocked shelves of construction DIY materials faced up. Everything from hot tubs, Bbqs, lawmowers, to: lights, saws, plasterboard, bricks and slug killer. Big flat carpark with easy access. Trolleys in good shape, staff are always a delight.

It's a big BDQ and has all you'd expect + flowers and trees n'stuff. They also have tiles, paint, sheds, power tool hire, a toilet, disabled parking, gardening tools, kitchen planning & design and finally a little van outside marked hamburgers... Which they sell along with hot dogs.
JAN 2023 - They've retarmac'd the car park so no more pothole hell. That said the surrounding roads from the M77 are in an utterly atrocious condition.
AUG 2023 - Roads around this I dustrial park are still absolutely awful. B&q changing their signage.
Jan 2024 - Google wants an update... Still potholes in area surrounding store.
Mar 2024 - FFS Google... ANOTHER UPDATE? They still have screws. And the hamburger stand and orange, lots and lots and lots of orange.

If you're new to DIY plumbing, Sandy at the Darnley store is someone you need in your life. Patient and always ready to help, he listens to the issues you're facing and comes up with elegant, easy to implement solutions. He provides step-by-step instructions and explains all the tricky bits. Talking to him gave me the confidence to do the job. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

So I placed an order, a keter storage unit, 2 padlocks and some wood. Delivery was today 17th June 2025. Guys came. Only storage unit. (No padlocks) was told to call store in 15 mins. Messaged store. Apologised and rebooted for Friday 20th. I can't secure unit till I have padlocks. Called the 0330 number and got an Asian lassie, she put me on hold, then an Scottish speaking girl came on. She took details and promised not to cancel call 5 mins later a lovely girl called clair or Clare took the call. She deeply apologised. And said refunds were issued. So just need wait and see. She sounded honest and efficient. The 3 stars is for the mistakes but 5 ? ???? to her.
