This is a really provincial shop with untrained staff with a "computer says no" mentality.I tried to use a Burton's Biscuits £1 off Jammie Dodgers coupon yesterday, having spent £1.30 on Jammie Dodgers. the young chap on the till scanned it then uninterestedly stated the conditions were not met. He clearly expected me to just accept this and when asked which conditions (see picture of coupon attached) he couldn't tell me so called over a supervisor. She couldn't do anything and suggested maybe it wasn't a coupon for Tesco. Really?! A manufacturer's coupon, with clear instructions for the retailer, isn't valid for use in the largest supermarket chain in the UK?! She told us we would need to go to customer service. For £1!!! It was not worth the hassle so we didn't buy the Biscuits. Every other store I've been to where there have been issues like this a supervisor has been able to resolve them, especially for such a tiny amount. My partner also experienced this mentality and had to waste time going to customer service for something a supervisor should have been able to do.They have lost 2 newly local customers who will now only use this store when desperate.

I lost an ear bud (headphone) recently. I asked Teagan(spelling?) at the help desk if anyone had handed it in. Teagan told me that it hadn't been found but she took my name and phone number. After this it was handed in and Teagan tried repeatedly to call me but my phone was off so she left a note and with the help of Zoe I was reunited with my too expensive ear bud. Both Teagan and Zoe were very professional while also being friendly and helpful. They are a credit to Tesco. Thank you both.

On our last visit we were accosted by some charity person in the entrance. This was while my sunflower lanyard wearing child was showing clear visible signs of distress and I was trying to keep them calm.Tesco needs to make sure that *all* officially present people are properly trained in dealing with the public. The sunflower lanyard is a well known indicator of a hidden disability. To have someone approach us in a very inappropriate manner while I was trying to prevent a full blown violent meltdown was distressing and potentially dangerous. My child struggles to leave the house or be out in public. Incidents and ignorance like this make the world even less accessible than the constantly underlying struggle it already is. Most people take popping out to the shop for granted, for us it is a big deal.1 star because I am unable to get through to anyone in customer services to discuss the issue.
