Disgusting manner by the healthcare advisors aka receptionist. Not helpful at all and have very condescending manner towards patients. I am absolutely appalled!

Can I just say that a receptionist at this Surgery called Nicola has been SOOOOO very pleasant and helpful to me to get the information I desired. She is so kiidly and her voice is so reassuring that I am not a bother... . In these day she is definitely an asset Thank you Nicola

Okay so this was a couple of years ago. Todo with Dr Michele Rae. I was pregnant at the time and just undergone surgery to remove a wisdom tooth. I was in alot of pain. I have a very sensitive stomach and can't take anti inflammatory medication. So all I had was 8/500 cocodomol and it didn't touch it I couldn't move my jaw I had a clear infection with swelling. I went into see about better pain management. Now when I went to see her I had 30 mins and I was to going to dentist to see about antibiotics. First she asked me as soon as I walked in what's wrong now. She looked bored with me then She left me in the room nearly 20 mons while talking to the pharmacist to only come back telling me that was on the inly dose they were allowed to.give, which I know isn't true. I got upset and she threatened to have me removed when I was in the dentist I actually sobbed because of this I couldn't stop I've never felt so little. I have never felt like such a waste of time. Will never go back to this place because she said I lied in the appointment and I was the aggresor so the complaint went bye bye. Disgusting won't ever go back.

My daughter has recently moved to Galston and joined the surgery. Reception staff were polite and informative. She received a call back from Dr Park who was professional,understanding,attentive and helpful. A wonderful service.

Last week I was without medication my own fault because I forgot about booking appointment for a review, so I called the surgery to book the review, a phone appointment was made for the following Tuesday & I informed the receptionist that I?m currently oqut of medication & her disgraceful response was very abrupt & her exact words were Can?t you go without your medication? Well 5 days I was without my meds. Anyways doctor told me at the review that I can now have my meds dispensed on a monthly basis, I was given 10mg on monthly & 20mg on a weekly. I?ve spoken to the receptionist Bev today & asked why I?ve not received the 20mg tabs on a monthly dispensary & she told me that the doctor never said that I?m to get my meds on a monthly dispensary I told her he did & she argued with me, I insisted that I speak with my doctor & dd and she refused saying I need to speak to the pharmacist, I asked to make a complaint to the practice manger because she was downright rude, argumentative & indirectly called me a liar. I phone back insisting that I make an appointment to talk with my doctor & informed she has no legal right to refuse to let me speak with my doctor. Appointment was made Just got off the phone to my doctor & he confirmed my mediation to be dispensed monthly. Doctors are great but the receptionist are unprofessional, rude & argumentative.

If I could award minus 5 for this practice I would. Dont see anyone face to face which leads to a telephone diagnosis which in turn leads to prescribing the wrong medication twice. When asked to solve the issues arising from this they have the temerity to put it down to anxiety. Condescending and unprofessional is the behaviour here. Avoid at all costs

All the doctors are great and the staff are always very nice to me. When I have needed an appointment I go down in the morning early and get one, it's good to get down about 8.15. if people who are full of the cold go to the pharmacy round the corner and save the NHS and everyone the time.

Modern run medical practice. Staff helpful and friendly. Some elderly people finding the modern computerised check yourself in for your appointment difficult to operate- staff in surgery normally available to assist with any problems.

At first, the ladies in reception go way out of their way to help, however I needed a podiatry referral ,which I could have made after the holiday season, but I was told to call 08:15, I could possibly be fitted in. When I did right after I got the menu driven closed surgery, then I get a constant busy signal, tried every 30-45 seconds for a 1/2 hr to get through, still constant busy signal!I went into the surgery to complain about this, hopefully somebody could help me, however the stress they put me through increased my anxiety, I asked for the Practice Manager. When Mr.Dobbie came out, I tried to tell him what happened, that I need to make an apt for a foot referral and here he is wanting to give me a form to fill out? Why didn't the practice nurse or reception do this the day b4? Then I told him I could not get through on the phone, do you have another number to call on, we have 4 numbers and when he tried to help me, Dr Dawn Taylor came out rudely interrupted my conversation with the PM and said she could not hear her intercoms, saying I had bad behaviour, when I was tremendously stress! In my opinion, due to the poor communication facilities of the surgery, from my experience this doctor has no compassion or understand of anxiety or patient care and to treat me like dirt is a violation of my patient rights. Not only that, she and others didn't like the way I speak, for I am from a culture that talks loud and brash and sometimes as hard as I try, I still tend to talk load a bit. If they didn't like me or my voice, why did they take me in the first place? I consider this a matter of DISCRIMINATION along with telling me to call at 8:15 knowing I will not get through is abusive!I was only in the surgery for about two weeks, the shortest time I ever spent, but at least I have the common sense to get out of the Kitchen before it goes on fire!. I highly recommend you do not use this surgery, for in my case, the communication is poor, the judgement is not fair and when a patient comes in distress, we should not treat him like trash, but the practice manager should have taken me to a room not only to keep my voice from overwhelming others, but insure my patient confidentiality! There are much better surgeries that will take better care of you if you look around. I was shocked at the unprofessional behaviour and chaotic methods used!I WOULD NOT USE THS SURGERY IF IT WAS THE LAST ONE IN THE UNIVERSE!Not the first time I had to find another surgery!
