This cafe and shop has relocated to a larger unit across from where it used to be and much of the seating is near a big window now. The coffee was sooooo good. They were very busy when I was in but customers orders were all coming out to be served in well organised order. There are local crafters areas inside the shop and a delicatessen. It?s a very nice place.

Ordered toasted sandwiches, got barely browned warm bread, definitely not a toastie and the bacon was very fatty and not cooked properly. Coffee wasn?t nice. A disappointing visit.

Sorry Why not. We were very disappointed in our visit today. Soup was very runny and thin. We were served the heels of bread along side. Not what I expected.Tea and traybake was nice, but there were nuts included, which should have been displayed. Staff weren't very people friendly, very serious and unwelcoming.

Sorry was not impressed with my visit The soup was like water and ran off the spoon so had difficulty in eating it and was given the end slice from a loaf of bread to have with it.Pot of tea for two was barely enough for us to have a small cup of tea each Staff didn?t seem to be very welcoming towards their customers

Been many times and it was very nice. This time though visiting with my sister, the toasted tea cake was not toasted and even when asked if it could be toasted a bit more still was like soggy bread and there was hardly any fruit in it. I didn?t use the milk for my coffee because I saw the young woman making it use her finger in the little jug before she poured the milk into it. The teapot was chipped and dirty under the spout before it had even been used.

Visited here as curious as to what the shop was all about. Didn?t realise there was a cafe area until inside. There is a wonderful selection of crafts and hand made items; great place to find unique gifts. The deli counter looked well stocked with a variety of meats and cheeses. The cafe was clean, bright and airy. Good selection of food and drinks. There was a variety of gluten free items as well. Service was good and portion size was just right. Would return.Kid-friendliness: They don?t have any high chairs available to use.Parking: Street parking is very limited but there is a public carpark within a short walking distance that costs 50p for up to 4hrs.Wheelchair accessibility: Possible to get a wheelchair into the establishment and there is space to manoeuvre.Dietary restrictions: Good selection of gluten free cakes and tray bakes.

Beautiful shop and cafe with lots of different and unusual items. The staff are very nice and we had a laugh with them. The place is lovely and clean. Loved the bacon roll I had and coffee was really nice. We also bought a few items from their shop. My friend and I will definitely be going back there again

Coffee good, service good but £3.95p for a toasted teacake is the highest I have seen anywhere. Seems popular as I had to wait for a table to come free late morning.

Had a lovely cuppa with a really nice cheese scone. Nephew had a strawberry Frappe and a filled roll, which was enjoyed but too much ice in the Frappe! Friendly staff, very attentive. However, it did seem a bit odd having clothes in the middle of the cafe section. The accessories in this section would work better. At first, I wasn't sure if it only had one table in the window or if it was a second-hand shop! Really good deli counter. Would go again. Thanks ?Parking: Parking is available behind the cafe, but you need to do a full loop!

A friend and I (we both live at a distance) went for a walk round the environs of Gala - sadly on a day of constant drizzle - ending up in the town centre when we came across WHY NOT, virtually by accident. The coffees (2 different types) were excellent and the scones simply superb: so much so that we decided to stay and have 'seconds' all round. The cafe located at the rear of the premises which, in one sense is a pity as it is not very obvious to visitors but in another sense perhaps it actually adds to the quiet charm of the place. On the way out you can browse through some of the clothes and other items on sale . Would we return ?? Certainly YES !!

Best toasted sandwich I've had in years. Properly toasted, great size and using ingredients straight from their deli counter. Also - great vintage homeware section to have a browse in whilst you're waiting.
