I went into the Gala branch to enquiry about a Calafornian Cruise with all internal and transatlantic flights and add on hotels included, ie ba fair amount of revenue for the shop. I left my e.mail address so that the assistant had time to work on it. 3 days later I have heard nothing other than a standard letter from Princess Cruises telling me they can assist me if I get I get with them! No quote from Gala as of yet. Although the girl was very pleasant, I could not believe the standard of her personal presentation, her shirt was to say the least in need of a wash, the collar and front was off putingly dirty. I worked for Thomson retail for 20 years and we would never have ever allowed to have that standard. We always had to get back to the customer with a quote as in meffect it was our livelihood and our passion for the job. Our branch did not survive even with over 60 years experience between us. Canâ??t see how this is progress! I guess I will have to book direct with Princess

Just booked our holiday for 2018 today in Galashiels shop . Can't recommend the whole of the staff highly enough . Nothing is ever too much bother to them and always strive to get you what you want in your holiday . We have booked with the Galashiels shop,for several years now and feel like the staff are family . So funny and helpful . I would give them 100% for the effort and friendliness they give .

Worst experience i have ever had with booking a holiday, the staff dont seem to know the procedures about cancellations, refunds etc, not one member of staff gave us the same answers about the same problem. I have had to travel in total 190 miles back and forth to the shop, everytime i have been phoned to come in to sort things out another problem arises that they cant seem to sort out there and then. I can safley say i wont ever be using this company again. 110% useless
