Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent Wi-fi.No in house restaurant for dinner, but a short, 5-minute drive away is the Black Pearl Creole Restaurant which I highly recommend. Amazing food at good prices! That restaurant made getting off the beaten path to stay at the Gairloch Highland Lodge well worthwhile!

The rooms were outdated and the location was generally out of the way. If you plan to arrive after 16:00 bring food, or be prepared for a drive because the hotel doesn't have dinner service and the restaurant next door is fully booked after 17:00 according to the host. Breakfast was ? I got undercooked eggs which didn't bode well. It was generally overpriced at nearly £120/ nightRooms: Had a smell like an old dogNearby activities: Absolutely nothing unless you are a member of the nearby golf club which is still a fair bit of a drive away.Walkability: Absolutely not, no side walks and a nearly 40 minute drive from the nearest main motorwayFood & drinks: Not much around, honesty bar was the best part but no clerk to take payment at checkout.

We stayed at the hotel for two days as part of a pre-booked rental car tour. We liked it. Our room was in an adjoining building, a bit dark (as it was tubular and only lit by a window at the end), but clean and attractively furnished, the bed was very comfortable with additional blankets. We even had a patio with garden chairs. The breakfast in the main building was fresh, rich and left nothing to be desired. The landlord speaks good German and gave us good tips for a hike in the area. By the way, they also helped us very courteously and nicely with a small problem with the rental car. Overall very good impression!

We had a lovely stay in our sea view room: the bed was super comfortable and the view from our window was beautiful. I liked that the windows opened, we had a tea kettle, and the breakfast was plentiful. The location was good, walking distance to a beach and pub nearby and other amenities were a vigorous walk away in Gairloch.

I quite liked this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough. Decor feels a little dated and there were a few squeaky floorboards in the room along with a squeaky headboard anytime we moved. You need to pre-order breakfast for the morning before 6pm however this cuts down on food wastage so can't complain. They don't do evening meals but there's a restaurant just 5 mins down the road (owned by the same group)

The food was very nice if you eat the toast and Nutella. The reception guy was very very defensive about asking if the room was noisy. Yes it is. Bang goes the front door, bang. Everyone's conversation on entry noisy. The bed was comfy if you have a bunk bed otherwise the smallest double bed in the world. Only come here if everywhere else is full. And you'll pay too much for unwelcoming, dirty, tired, and weird surrounds. Breakfast is not good. Random pre order system that doesn't yield anything, it's a buffet of all the stuff anyway with no table service! Avoid unless you have nowhere else left to book

This must be secret hidden reality show.. no dinner, bar is self service and the manager gave e a row for not using the reception phone to call reception when he could clearly see me standing at reception...

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! We walked into our room and thought the manager was having a joke! Afyer a horrendous day, all I wanted was a shower and some sleep. Tried to close the curtains for privacy but they didnt cover the door and let everyone see inside the room! I closed the bathroom door and tried to get the shower warm but had no hot water, spoke to the manager who then offered to change the curtains and informed me.not to use the shower during the day as laundry used the hot water until the evening. After these issues I decided I wasn't going to stay and upon repacking the bits I had unpacked, I came across a dead wasp, hundreds of spider eggs and a few spiders on the ceiling, stains on the sideboards (brown and pretty unpleasant) carpet in the corners that weren't meeting the wall and hazardous, no extraction fan or window in the bathroom alongside a broken shaving light. Couldn't wait to leave but I'm sure if I'd stayed a but longer the list would have continued to grow. Save yourself some cash and stress and just drive passed.

Lovely place to stay, friendly, trustworthy (They had an honesty bar, which we didn't use incidentally, but I liked the idea of pouring my own pint) Great location Lovely beach with amenities, recommended booking dinner, as we had to settle with food from the Spar, which had a nice selection of hot and cold grub.

We turned up at this place yesterday after a week of glamping and just want to freshen up and have a decent sleep! So, first step was a shower, but there wasn't any hot water. Wanted a short nap but the curtains didn't fully cover the door and let all the light in. So we spoke to the manager as £152.50 did not warrant that. But we couldn't help find further faults. The owner decided we should pay the full amount and he would fix the curtain issue but we were unable to have hot water during the day due to the laundry services doing washes. We seleceted a double bed, but had two singles pushed together with a gap between and single duvets, not what we wanted! We took photos of the rest of the faults. Absolutely not worth the money when there's much cheaper, and better quality else where.

The hotel is conveniently situated near the NC500 route. The staff were friendly, and check-in was easy as was check out the next morning. The location was up a small hill within an easy walk to have dinner at The Old Inn and walk around harbor. Reservations are a must this time of year for the evening meal, and the hotel notified us in advance with that recommendation. The location was very quiet and peaceful. The lodge seems a bit older with dated decor, older looking bedding, and a too firm mattress, which doesn't suit me as a side sleeper. Breakfast was a serve yourself and a bit chaotic in the small space with multiple items needing to get refilled simultaneously, and by the nature of that style of service the hot food was only warm, though the staff was trying hard to keep the breakfast bar stocked.

Overall a disappointing stay. It offered everything that we needed but at a very low quality! The hotel is extremely dated. The breakfast was completely disorganised and we were quite shocked to pick up mouldy bread rolls. The lady dealt with it in the best way she could, but it was an awkward moment! Not one to be expected when you?re paying a £140 a night!

Food & drinks: The Old Inn is een prima eetgelegenheid, vlak in de buurt.
