Excellent food. Caters for vegans. Delicious home made houmous. Tastes were flavoursome. Lovely veiw as well.

Something wasn't working right here, at least on the day we visited. My wife received short shrift from a very abrupt lady when asking whether there was room for our party of six. Then later, three of us having finally gained entry, I waited in vain for the coffee I ordered for almost 30 minutes before giving up and cancelling....

With stunning views out over Gairloch, Am Bàrd is a great place to rest and refuel, or meet up with friends and family.
Our menu changes daily, featuring in-season, local produce to create homemade soup, fresh sandwiches, daily specials and homebaking. We cater for small and large appetites and most dietary requirements.
On the first floor of the award winning Gairloch Museum, the café interior is decorated with images and words depicting the inspiration bàrdan-baile (songmaker-poets) took from their surroundings. As you enjoy your refreshments, perhaps the view will inspire you as well?
Fully accessible (via a lift from the ground floor), we have high chairs for smaller visitors.
