This cafe was amazing! Everything was so fresh, tasty options for everyone (my dad has celiac and I?m vegan) and the greatest thing was the atmosphere and service. Highly highly recommend this place!

We stumbled upon IV10 by pure chance, and what a discovery it turned out to be! This was without doubt the best meal I?ve had in a very long time. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly creative in flavor and composition ? every bite felt thoughtful and inspired. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. It?s rare to find a place that combines such culinary imagination with such down-to-earth hospitality. A true gem!

Came for the dolphins, but what took our breath away was the food we discovered by accident here! Each dish was truly exceptional, balanced and absolutely delicious, especially the veggies! Do NOT skip this place on your way to the beach!

Rude service
Addition I
Dearest Emma,
Thank you for your reply to my one-star review of your restaurant. I will commence with the observation that it seems to reflect inaccuracies. It also appears to shift the blame onto me and ? as with other replies to negative reviews, I have noted ? avoids any culpability on your side.
The maître d? (I will follow your definition, to avoid any confusion) was nothing short of rude and arrogant. On multiple occasions, he interrupted my partner mid-sentence with a simple ?thank you? and a ?no, thank you.? When asked any questions, we received no answer, only another ?thank you.? At no point did I ask him if he could check with the manager; I asked if I could speak to the manager. I was hoping for someone less arrogant and rude. However, noting that you are the manager ? and taking into account your reaction, in which I am now being called rude ? I would not have fared any better.
I can understand that it can be frustrating to receive criticism when your team did not work hard to welcome certain guests, who deserve to be treated with courtesy. However, in my reviews, I will always be upfront and fair.
Wishing you the best of luck in your endeavours
Addition II
Dear Emma,
Many thanks for your surrebuttal to my written response, wherein it is being inferred that my account is dishonest. Moreover, you appear to be more concerned with public opinion than with addressing the issue at hand. Hence, I have attached your earlier replies ? in order for said public to observe how such matters are handled.
I will firstly address your notion of a clear sign: that is not posted at the side entrance. Moreover, the door was open: so even if a sign was present, it would not have been clearly visible. How I ?chose to ignore? this is entirely unclear to me. How I supposedly ?set the tone? is even more baffling and constitutes yet another clear indication ? as noted above ? that no culpability on your side is being acknowledged. Rather, the responsibility is being redirected ? for whatever reason ? to your guests.
Again, if you wish to call that a maître d?, I will gladly follow your definition. I presume that someone who is indeed highly capable would not interrupt others mid-sentence, and would not be entirely dismissive. And indeed, when someone is rude, arrogant and dismissive and wholly unable to provide any response (even regarding alternative restaurants), I will naturally ask to speak to someone who is able to answer simple questions. This bears no relation to the bad faith motivations you now attribute to me. That you now go so far as to reiterate your support for such conduct ? and even describe it as patience, professionalism, and care ? is nothing short of astonishing.
I understand your point that you are a small restaurant which may be fully booked. However, the manner in which you ? and your staff ? handle this, both offline and online, is truly remarkable. All of this reinforces my decision to submit a one-star review.
Wishing you the best.

Hugely disappointing
Edit for Emma: Toast with tomatoes - was actually a couple of stale slices of baguette with a butter dish of tomato juice in.
The 'warm date and treacle cake' was not warm at all but cold and dry, because I had seen our food sat on the counter for 15 minutes waiting for our coffees to be made.
The prices are also very steep for a couple of bits of tiny slices of baguette and half a slice of cake with a bit of marmalade.
Service was slow even though it was not busy.
I hope that is enough detail for you now.

Enjoyed another excellent lunch here. We sat outside in the Bothy with our spaniel; they are very dog-friendly here ?. Would especially recommend the wood-fired corn ribs, the roasted, crushed potatoes with horseradish and onions and the beetroot with broccoli and hazelnuts with whipped feta on toasted sourdough!?

Sat in a really nice and cozy cabin outside since our dog was with us, but the food was mediocre at best. The portion sizes were super small and we were still quite hungry afterwards. The price is not justified in our opinion

Highly recommend this place for both the food and the service. This was our first time eating here & a very pleasant experience it was. On arrival we were advised that the kitchen had been extremely busy and as such there be a wait for our order to be dealt with. The wait was worth while as the venison salami pizza, with hazelnuts & honey was a great blend of flavours. The carrot & pecan cake was very moist and went well with our cappuccinos, which were larger than most of the coffees we had had from Skye to Inverness.
The young front of house staff, despite being extremely busy, were very cheerful and helpful especially when the rain came on and we needed a seat in doors. ?
The lady, originally from Ayrshire where I hail from, who dealt with myself when paying the bill was lovely too! ?

Love the food here and the service is top-notch. The chef/ owner, Emma came out to every table at the end of the meal to greet the customers and find out about the food. It's lil things like this that make a restaurant feel like home.
