Lovely quiet place. Everything here you would need from logs and kindling to dishes and cutlery. Very cosy yurt once you get the log burner going. Dogs are welcome, but you'll have to pay a little bit extra for them. Bikes are available to hire horses to feed and ride along with a few cheeky ducks.Has 1 electric car charging point. Wifi main hub.

5/5 really enjoyed our stay (2 nights) yurt (holly)was very clean and tidy on arrival super cosy and well furnished. On arrival we met with staff member Jenny was super freindly and helpful, she showed us to our yurt and gave us useful info about the area really nice and welcoming.Must mentioned the amount of effort gone into making guests feel comfortable... Log burner already pre stocked and ready to burn. Every minor detail from cutlery to candles were available to use in the yurt, info book with things to do and facts about local wild life. The hub facilities were very modern and clean. Lots of useful stuff for guests to use such as freezer, cooler box, washing lines ect.Amazing location with stunning veiws over fort george. Seen one of the best sunrises from the beach (5-10 min walk from site)Highly recommend and will be sure to return next time we are up this way.

Would recommend The Black Isle Yurtz. ? So comfortable, well equipped, in a lovely setting. The Hub of toilets&showers and dishes area were very clean and the view was beautiful. Thinking of the environment the hosts have thought of everything for a spacious, peaceful retreat and base for discovering the area.

What an amazing place! It is truly is like staying in an enchanted forest, love the hand made sign posts! The yurt was very luxurious, loved all the quaint furniture and we were delighted that the log burning stove was all ready for us when we popped it on to cosy in for the night. Hub and facilities are fantastic, will definitely be back and then back again!

My wife, four kids (9, 8, 6, 3) stayed in the "Larch" yurt for two nights in early June, the experience was entirely fantastic. The location is wonderful - only 40mins from Inverness so convenient for everything we needed, but far enough away enough to be totally off grid, private and secluded. The weather was perfect so we walked down to the beach for the day - totally private, perfect to let the kids run around, lovely swimming and a great location for a picnic lunch. The yurt itself was better than I ever expected it would be - a large double bed for us adults, with bunk beds for the girls and a decent sized sofa bed for the boys. Plenty of room for us all to play games/store our stuff and it even had a small kitchen area off the main room for organising a private breakfast/coffee set up. Outside there was a porch to sit, with a picnic bench very close by too. The Hub (communal area) wasn't too far away (though we still had total privacy) and had everything we wanted for the more comfortable side of things! Freezer, fridge, toilet and shower facilities. The shower was brilliant - by far the best I've had when glamping, and the view from the Hub area was magnificent. We will undoubtedly be back at Black Isle Yurts again, hopefully every year from now on - I cannot recommend this enough, it was literally perfect!

Stunning location and so much care has gone into the site just right for folk. Not over-developed but just the right comfort to feel connected to the place and nature and other folk. Thank you, we will be back and recommend to others.

Wonderful place, yurts were clean and well equipped. Really comfortable beds. If you want to feel like you are the only ones there, book Willow yurt. The showers and toilets at the hub hub are well maintained and there is a stunning view from the washing up station. The walk back up from the beach is steep but definitely worth it.

Fantastic weekend away with a large group of friends. Each Yurts is hidden away making it feel like you are completely away from the rest of the World.Stunning views, awesome woodlands, and right beside a secret beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, I'd highly recommend this experience ?

We visited in June 2022 after following Black Isle Yurts on Facebook for 7 years. We stayed in the Aspen Yurt. It far exceeded our expectations. The yurt's furnishings were simply elegant, the wood stove provided warmth in the evenings, and the bed was especially cozy and comfy. The setting was enchanting in a forest grove atop a cliff overlooking Moray Firth. We spent an afternoon in Cromarty and visited the Hugh Miller Birthplace Cottage & Museum run by the National Trust of Scotland. Lots of interesting shops and cafes too. We'd love to return and do more exploring around the area. Thanks, Jenny, for making our visit such a delight.

We had the pleasure of a last minute weekend break staying in one of Jenny's amazing handcrafted luxury yurts! With snow atop the distant mountains to the west, we totally lucked out with some fantastic early spring weather. Blue skies and sunshine warmed us enough to tempt us to brave a swim off the sandy beach, a short stroll down the path from our yurt. Such a peaceful woodland setting, with panoramic views over the Moray Firth. Waking up with the morning sunshine filtered through the sliver birch trees, listening to the birdsong was just delightful. A clear crisp night had the stars out in abundance. Inside our cosy Yurt, with the woodburners flame flickering in the glass, and a dram or two, I felt that I'd hit the reset button on the outside world and couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be. Spotless amenities, comfy beds, peaceful setting, wonderful hosts. Highly recommended! ?
