In Fort Williams, there are very few options for a hot meal immediately near the train station. If you have time to walk a little further, there are real restaurants within walking distance. The cafe has very close seating due to the limited space. The full meals are very reasonably priced especially when you think of the packaged items offered on ScotRail.

4 stars for tasty breakfast. However, it is quite pricey for what you actually get, and most of the items were pre-cooked. Like I say, it was tasty, but not something I see often with pre fried eggs etc.

Very simple and basic cafe which could do with a revamp to the furniture as seats are torn or broken.
The food itself was decent but average for the price however, the behaviour received from an older staff member (maybe late twenty?s) was very poor during our visit. She visibly didn?t want to be there and looked at everyone (including other staff members) with pure utter disgust and disrespect. Her attitude towards customers whilst taking food orders is very unprofessional and after looking at other reviews online I can see I?m not the first to experience an encounter with her.

Just basic level cafe: nothing bad and nothing exceptional. Pastry is fine. Coffee could be better though.

Staff are really nice and friendly but the breakfast food is all pre made and in hot plates before you even order so it was pretty gross. Sweaty fatty bacon. Mushy sausage. Haggis was mushy. It?s very expensive considering nothing is made fresh to order. £40 for a breakfast, burger & eggs Benedict which was all ready in just 10 minutes

Had a really disappointing experience here. I'm usually okay with average food, but the rude behavior from one of the staff ruined the entire visit. From the moment we walked in, she was unwelcoming and visibly annoyed for no reason. Despite the crowd, I waited patiently to ask about seating, and that somehow seemed to upset her further. She kept rolling her eyes and making us feel extremely uncomfortable throughout. Definitely not coming back.

Food was ok,be aware that this is located at the train station, therefore there is always busy. There are no toilets at the premises, if you need to go, you need to go to the public toilets to the train station, which are paid 10p or 20p to open you the barrier entry.

Had the vegetarian fried breakfast. Although the menu lists what that consists of, mine had more than I expected. The photo doesn't do it justice as some things are hidden by other items, but I had: a fried egg, one slice of fried bread, one slice of toast, two potato croquettes, a hash brown, a potato scone, mushrooms and baked beans. I couldn't fault the cooked breakfast and that set me up for the day. The only thing that let it down for me was the latte was about lukewarm. There's a large [cold] surface area to volume ratio for the mug, and if the coffee isn't that hot to start with, putting it in a cold mug isn't a winning formula. That aside, I liked the cafe and the food and I'd certainly go there again when I'm next in the area.

It's a train station cafe. Generous portions and quick service. Ok for a long wait.

Had the Scottish Breakfast before heading off on the Cape Wrath trail - it was delicious and an excellent way to start. Thanks Lochaber Cafe!
