Unfreundliche Bedienung, Lokal schließt um 21 Uhr und um 20:30 werden die Fenster bereits geschlossen. Das Essen ist leider geschmacklos, nicht gewürzt und schmeckt nach "Nichts". Nicht zu empfehlen!

Nice local bar. Decent food and good service. As mainland europeans make sure ypu are early. Kitchen close at 8 and it really closes. The local beer is good. Tennent lager.

This place should only serve drinks ! We ordered food and the only thing that was hot was the plate ! The food was undercooked, not seasoned and most of all not edible.
If you want to eat please don?t go there !

Fantastic atmosphere! Good service. But I'm sad to say, mediocre food. The steak in the steak pie was dry. The chips, while good, were nothing to write home about. Overall, would I come here for dinner again ... probably not. Would I come here for a casual pint with friends ... most definitely!!!

Was in here for a spot of lunch and I?m sure the haggis was out of a tin the potatoes I?m sure were powdered the neeps were tasteless. The mac and cheese bland. Would definitely not recommend.

740pm arrived for dinner, to be promptly told by a rather rude lady, that the restaurant was closed. This is high season..no explanation. Hospitality NIL..sad !!

One of the worst dining experiences on our trip. The haggis was dry, bland, and carelessly presented. On top of that, the heavily chlorinated tap water ? which seems to be served everywhere here ? ruined any remaining flavor. Whether it?s mixed with cola, wine, or served plain, the chemical taste is overpowering. Such a shame, especially since we were looking forward to trying traditional Scottish food.

If 0 starts were permitted, I would give that.
Food is of terrible quality, staff is extremely rude and the place is not at all worth visiting.
Don?t waste your time.

Service was very good, food and drinks came out very fast? but food was abysmal, did not taste nice at all. After a long day of hiking, we were so disappointed. We had the Vegan cottage pie (which had absolutely no resemblance to an actual cottage pie, just a few vegetables and boiled potatoes, not even mashed) and the Mushroom pie (not a pie at all, just a circle of pastry thrown on top of a weirdly sweet mushroom sauce), and we only managed to finish them because we were famished. Even the chips were a miss, which I didn?t think was possible.
If you have a choice, I?d recommend going to the lock inn right next door, even if you have to wait a bit it would be worth it.

We thought the server was only rude to us but she was rude to everyone! Great entertainment actually! Don't ask the waitresses for their recommendations because they are triggered by that... Food was okay, nothing special. I hear their hiring, requirements must be hostile.

Wish we?d read previous reviews! Stay away, it?s not brilliant, not even standard pub food. The lady on the front of house is appalling. She was so rude, impatient and had zero customer service skills. We were looking forward to a nice meal out and instead we were faced with a waitress demanding we ordered drinks before we had even seen the menu. When we asked for a moment she came back a MOMENT later and turned my menu to the drinks page as if she were demanding we ordered!!
The atmosphere was dreadful, they were watching our every move and were turning tables over as quickly as possible! This they can probably get away with because it?s a tourist trap with generally non returning tourists. I ate at twice my usual speed and then didn?t even feel like I could sit and enjoy my drink as we were being watched. For every person at the door they told them all it would be a 20-30min wait!! Then we had to pay the bill at the bar and it was a long wait.

All of our dishes were delicious. The desserts were excellent.
