Stayed three nights on a business trip. The accommodation is basic but very comfortable. Somewhere to hang clothes would be nice. The bathroom facilities appeared to be recently refurbed and were top notch. The shower was excellent. And the food. Because this was a business trip I was out a lot but did have one dinner and one breakfast. Both were piping hot and absolutely delicious. I stayed previously in this place nearly thirty years ago when the current owner's grandparents ran the business. All I can say is that standards have not diminished. Would definitely recommend,

I have already left the Carisbrooke a separate review on Booking.com for our stay but I have to mention their food. Wow!! Gluten and Dairy free Macaroni and cheese with added pulled pork throughout. The food here was fantastic and thank you for catering with those who have dietary restrictions. I?d happily come back just for the Mac and cheese. Delicious!

Sticky chicken was delicious, unfortunately the fries came 10 minutes after the chicken arrived which was a bit annoying however it all went down a treat as did the beer ? ?

Turned up out of the blue after a long day travelling on 26th sept. Was greeted at the bar by a very friendly chap who we assume was the landlord. Room 2 was available for us and a table booked for us to join their curry night within a few minutes of our arrival.
The room was warm and spotlessly clean and had everything required for our stay.
Chicken bhuna was lovely and all the staff were very friendly including the landlady who was overseeing the evenings service.
Bed really comfortable and a nice powerful shower to wake us up in the morning.
Will definitely be back

Rooms definitely need TLC.A lot of areas needs painting.For £85 you would have thought a breakfast would have been included or the option to pay but by the looks breakfast wasn't available to anyone.

Comfortable clean rooms in a quiet location great nights sleep. Staff went above and beyond letting us preorder our meal on the Saturday night to accommodate us. Food really tasty and fabulous gluten free options and kids meals available. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend. ?

Did not use hotel only bar. Food was very good however soft drinks were a bit expensive

We've been on a bike ride around Scotland and arrived after the kitchen was closed. But Loni the Bar Maid gave us plates and forks to eat a take away and the service was spot on. The rooms were clean and very comfortable I'd highly recommend staying here. Thank you.
