“The first time I visited this garden centre, I called their restaurant first and spoke to someone called Leanne. She was super-friendly and helpful and I remember thinking that if their food is half as good as their customer service, I'll be very happy!Turns out, the food was great too! Had a jacket potato and the most amazing lemon-meringue cheesecake, that I'm still working off in my exercise class. The restaurant was very busy - which I guess is a good sign - and they seated me in the potting shed area (a separate room from the main restaurant).A couple of points that I didn't think were so great:1. They don't accept cash in the restaurant (not sure about purchases in the garden centre). While most people pay by card these days, I don't feel it's a good policy to not accept cash.2. They don't offer refunds on goods purchased in the garden centre. I don't think I've come across any business in the UK that doesn't offer refunds - so that was rather surprising. It actually put me off buying an item that I wasn't sure about.As far as the restaurant goes, I'll definitely be back for more of their fine grub!”
