It's a beautiful and lovely hotel. When I stopped by to store my luggage, they let me check in even though it was before check-in time. The hostess is very friendly and kind. He explained things in a way that even I, who can't speak English, could understand. The room was also very nice and I had a good night's sleep on the comfortable bed.And the breakfast is super delicious. It's a lie that British food isn't delicious. It may be better than a high-end restaurant.I'm lucky to stay here. I would definitely like to visit again.Food & drinks: You can choose what you like for breakfast, but please eat all kinds.

We stayed one night at this beautiful boutique hotel whilst travelling through the U.K. Our room which had been recently renovated was so lovely as were all the amenities provided. Breakfast was delicious and many options to choose from including gluten free. Whilst travelling through England and Scotland staying at many hotels, Cluny Bank hotel was by far our favourite. Thankyou to Shanti for a wonderful stay.

Shanti warmly welcomed us (weary travelers) to Cluny Bank Hotel. She provided recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We look forward to returning when we're back in Forres.

I walked the Moray Coast Trail with a friend last week and our first 2 nights were spent at this wonderful hotel. Our hostess was friendly and professional. The room was opulent. Especially the en suite which had a wonderful free standing bath. I dreamed of that bath on my last night of the trail when I was footsore and weary. I heartily wished that I had spent my last night off the Trail at Cluny Bank. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

What a place! Everything oozed quality from towels to the various teas on offer in the room to the bed linen. A very quiet place and a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was incredible. I will definitely be back. ?

Where to start? On a much-needed break from London, we spent four glorious nights in this charming hotel. Our room was airy, comfortable, scrupulously clean and more than adequate to our needs. We were particularly impressed by the stringent, but unobtrusive, Covid precautions in place - would that we had these in England! The many glowing reviews we had read about owners Julia and Lloyd were spot on. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming or attentive. And now to the food... Wow! Absolutely fabulous, though it would be remiss of me not to issue the warning that a stay at The Cluny Bank is not for anyone trying to lose weight. Every meal was a treat from start to finish ? and with so many little dishes between courses. Previous guests have spoken about Lloyd's obvious passion for cooking and his personal attendance at the table to describe, in amongst all the jokes, the mouth-watering desserts he so lovingly prepares - they were not wrong! All in all ? a really lovely stay. In Arnie?s immortal words: we?ll be back?

Cluny is tucked away in Forres Definitely overdelivers Food was way above expectations. Lloyd is a very talented chef. You will be looked after well at this establishment It?s clean and bedroom was all we needed We had dogs which catered for well in the annexe room Recommended

Excellent hotel and restaurant. Superb cuisine, expertly described with each course, especially the desserts talked through in detail and enthusiasm by Lloyd. Also provided a recipe to take away. Great breakfast too. Excellent room facilities, and setting in grounds, with good access to north coast sites for nature etc. Would love to come again when in the area.

Absolutely terrible attitude from the receptionist/manager right from the start, i phoned up to book a room, she starts raising her voice at me for no reason, acts like im a person with disabilities, then puts the phone down and starts speaking bad about me to someone in the background

Stayed 2 nights in Balchins Den... A lovely room, which although attached is separate to the main hotel, with its own entrance. 10 years had past since our first stay but apart from fresh decor, nothing had changed. Julia & Lloyd work hard to ensure all guests have a quality, comfortable and memorable stay, which they achieve in spades. Everything is spotless and plush. The cosy bar is a delight and a great place to chat with other residents late afternoon or after dinner. Mostly to compare notes on places visited and what Lloyd served from the varied menu that evening. I highly recommend booking dinner, bed and breakfast as the food is the real draw in my book. Lots of little extra surprise tidbits make the meal fun too. However, save room for pudding, as that's a particular highlight as Lloyd explains in his own inimitable style the delicious desserts he's lovingly prepared. The standard of food and accommodation is outstanding and offers such great value for money in our opinion. Cluny Bank/Forres is well located too being only a few miles away from the beautiful coastline and towns of Elgin & Lossiemouth, to name but two. A good selection of Nature reserves are close by too. Check out the Windswept Brewery in Lossiemouth if you have the time & inclination. The popular Captains Table Inn in the village of Findhorn offers beautiful harbour views as well as good food. So hope we can return sooner next time around!

Six of us had dinner in the restaurant, the food was excellent, best we have had for a long time. Staff were great, the chef in particular was a real character and made it a night to remember.
