Overpriced and overrated.

First visit for lunch. Found the process very confusing with regard to finding empty table, putting a reserved sign on table then going to order. Process not clear and confusing. Various food bars to choose from with extensive menus. Overall the food was good. On my next visit I will know the process.

We love to visit here when in the area. We brought a beautiful Steiff bear for our son when he was born from here, many years on we had returned and brought him another!
The shop has plenty of things to look at and buy if you wish from cheese, drinks, sweets. Kitchen utensils, ornaments and clothes to name a few.
We used the cafe and the food and drinks were excellent.
On our way out, there seemed to be some sort of MP or upper management visiting so all staff we attending to this.

Been visiting for a good few years. Food is ace for the price: No tourist rip-offs here, just a fair price for great scran. Very friendly service, plenty of room in the dining area, and the shop sells local produce at fair price points, including a huge range of homewares, fragrances, pickles, jams, chocolates....if you can think of it, Brodie sells it. Awesome shop and restaurant, highly recommended for visitors and locals alike.

We used to enjoy visiting this place but it is turning into a complacent joint. Prices are on the top end and the staff is quite ignorant toward the presence of customers.
As a dog owner, it?s quite annoying to see the customers with dogs being veered out as until today there lacks the necessary signage.
The only possibility for these customers is to walk around the side to reach the porch at the back and sit outside to eat

Haven't been here since long before COVID.
Much nicer following redeveloping their restaurant. We essentially stopped passing but didn't enjoy their coffee. Have to admit I don't know whether their coffee has improved but the truffle and parmesan fries were good.

2nd visit in a row we have had to ask for boiling water to clean our cutlery before using it! The absolute audacity to charge what you do for food when you cannot get the basics, lipstick marks on glass last time and filthy cutlery, this time the cutlery was so bad! I let them know, the manager said oh yes the spoons had food etc stuck to them but knives was just water marks! absolutely no excuse for any of it! Just dirty. manager disappeared with the spoons, came back about 5 mins later hands full of spoons only to have bare hands and tapping them at the part to put in your mouth to get them level! seriously do better cause what massive let down for basic health and hygiene is such a beautiful establishment! Can't think i will ever eat in there again!
