We have stayed here for 3 weeks as we have been working in a local distillery.The staff here could not of done enough for us they have been so helpful and made us feel at home.The rooms are brilliant and came to all our needs.We tryed everything on the menu and the food is really good.Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will certainly be back.Big thanks to all the team at the Gordon arms fochaber amazing

Rooms too warm even in October with the windows open.Noise from the road in rooms at the front of the hotel.Suzy who works the bar only speaks to the menRooms: Ample but could do with upgrading. Way too warm even with radiators off and windows open in OctoberFood & drinks: Great food. Good selection of gins but only cheap tonic which is a waste

Stayed there for a night. The room was warm and comfy. But few of the furnishings were old and rundown. It looked like the renovation of some stuff in the room was recently done. Staff were courteous and helpful. Food and Drinks were nice too. Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

My workmate and I stayed here while we were laying the Gas Mains at the local Crisp Maltings factory. The staff here are just the best. So friendly, polite, helpful and most if all such a good laugh. It was like staying home from home. Susan, Pauline, Catherine, the housekeepers, the young waiters and waitresses were all absolutely fantastic. The breakfasts are awesome and the evening meals are delicious (battered chicken fillets are my favourite) A fantastic selection of fine whisky, 18 Yr old Glenfidich is a must try. I enjoyed quite a few lol Fochabers village is a beautiful place, I enjoyed some beautiful walks while there. Were back up there to work again in October and we will definitely be booking in here again.

I was taken out here for a meal by my family who had eaten here before and liked it. It was an extensive and nice menu with plenty options. I chose Chicken Balmoral but was very disappointed by it as clearly shortcuts were taken in the preparation of this dish . It should have had bacon on it ( states bacon on menu ) but there was no bacon round the chicken. The chicken fillet had been previously cooked and slit in half and a half slice of haggis up had been inserted . The chicken was a bit tough due to being re heated and the haggis was solid in the half slice shape and was not properly hot . It was supposed to be served ? smothered ? in a whisky sauce . I had no whisky sauce at all - just a rather gloopy tasteless gravy. On the up side the vegetables it was served with ( neeps, broccoli, carrots and potatoes ) were obviously freshly prepared and very tasty. Other members of the party seemed to be happy with their choices . They seemed to be served hot enough and well presented and they enjoyed them . So maybe I was just unlucky! We also had dessert. Some of our party had sticky toffee pudding which was a huge portion and they commented on it being lovely. Others had ice cream again they were happy . I again was unlucky as I opted for ?strawberry cheesecake ? which was a piece of plain cheesecake with three tasteless ( not fresh ) strawberries on top! I would have complained but as I was being taken out for a meal and not paying , did not think it as appropriate to do so.
