An oasis in the desert.Only pub we could find open.Friendly, welcoming and sold beer. What more could you ask for on a hot day?Walkability: Near the only hill in the area. Friendly bus driver from ferry made this visit possible and enjoyable

Makes the island ? that extra special, because of this place I stayed longer spent more money and enjoyed myself more. The staff were lovely ? ? food was excellent and it has a bar?.

We visited just for dinner and we're really pleased with our whole experience. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of food on offer with lots of local flavours and specialties. Our meals were all delicious, reasonably priced and clearly marked with allergens and dietary information. I'd advise booking ahead as it can get quite busy - particularly during holiday season and at the weekends.

Good bed Very noisy shower Terrible meal of grilled monkfish a couple of spuds, carrots thrown on the plate and two bits of broccoli No sauce No seasoning Nothing!!!! Worst meal I?ve had out for decades Toast at breakfast was cheap brown bread! Come on guys , you really need to up your game , this is not the 70s

Spent 2 nights here as part of our Orkney tour. The rooms was very spacious and clean.Dinner was delicious on both night - special mention for Tina who did a briliant job with everyone in the group :)Would definitely reccomend if you are in Westray.

Great day out on Westray and as always well looked after at the Pierowall Hotel. This time the sun was out so we got to sit out.Food & drinks: Good coffee and scones and later on good Orkney beers

Highly recommended as a base on Westray. The hotel is run by a friendly team. Our breakfasts and evening meals were great. The room was clean. Our dog stayed with us and the only rule was that we had to eat in the side bar rather than in the restaurant.
