This is a private business which has limited parking for the public who can access a small rocky channel via a steep path. There are no facilities for anything, and hardy birdwatchers appear to be the main visitors in autumn.

Visited years ago and at that time could walk through the abandoned village. NOW, private property( wild salmon fishery) ,so can no longer explore the old buildings!!! So sad ?

Another scenic, history filled, location on the fine Angus Coastal path walk. At one time it must have been a real hubbub when fishing was at its height. Now, sadly, the buildings without roofs can only echo the past. Well worth spending a few moments here to try and get the feel of the landscape and its surroundings.

Remote and desolate it may be it is still wonderful and full of fish full to the brim in fact theres fish absolutely all over the shop although I couldn't find a shop but I wish I had I was thirsty from walking all that way but anyhow there was a lovely wee doggie there and absolutely no one else in fact I wonder if that dog had an owner the poor thing seemed content enough though not to worry just visit Usan for all your fishing needs we all know how that feels to need the fish.

I feel sick to my stomach that this company can kill a pup in cold blood. The responsible person should be punished.

Notorious for their now withdrawn plan to cull the well loved grey seal colony on the Ythan Estuary so they can net wild salmon without competition. The company have previously been reported as killing 20 seals in Crovie, near Pennan, forcing holidaymakers to cut short their holiday in disgust. So their wild salmon product is tainted with innocent seals blood. The company show no sign of changing their policy.
