Horrible, rude, patronising staff who speak over customers as they try to explain a situation. I will raise this as a formal complaint also as customers are not attending banks to be spoken down to and treated like waste on their shoe. Blonde woman in the wee office was the offender.

Have a business account and visit branch to deposit cash. Staff are adamant that I have to use cash machines to make deposit. Today I had a particularly poor experience in the branch which has prompted this review( not something I normally do) I told two members of staff several times I would prefer to go to a teller but was coerced into using the cash machine. This need to use the machines was explained to me as a way of keeping branches open - I made my point to the member of staff that surely me depositing my money in their bank and being a satisfied customer is a way of ensuring branches are kept open.Long story short I did end up having to go to a teller who was extremely discourteous, made no eye contact with me, offered me no greeting or offer of help.
If these floating members of staff, who aggressively police any customer who walks in, were to in fact just sit at a desk and act as tellers then everyone would be able to conduct their business and customers would surely receive a much more satisfactory banking experience. I am shocked at how rude, unobliging and unwilling staff were to accommodate a customer?s perfectly reasonable request but were in fact more willing to engage in argument with me whilst I was trying to deposit my money in their cash machine at their insistence. The branch was quiet and I could have easily been dealt with by a teller. In the time I was in the branch every person who was directed to the machines had to seek further assistance. Shocking experience - TSB I suggest you rethink this policy and train your staff in customer service unless you want to lose all of your customers. Thankfully my personal account is with Santander who offer a much more customer friendly approach.

ARROGANT, IGNORANT, AWFUL AND POTENTIALLY RACIST!With out any exaggeration...we were TOLD by 4 useless and confrontational staff ( including manager) that we HAD to tell them why we wanted to take cash from our own account!No joke, loud woman demanding we MUST tell her what we were spending our money for and in front of total strangers.One of the staff, who looked at my dark skinned wife and called her a " LIAR " and said " I don't believe this is what you are spending YOUR money on! "ABSOLUTE DISGRACE....I HOPE IT CLOSES AND THESE LOWLIFES LOSE THEIR CUSHY JOBS.

My first (and last) visit to this branch with my elderly mother, greeted by a staff member who told there was a queuing system and we'd have to wait a while as there was a few people in front of us. Looked chaotic and unprofessional especially with the main greeter having a negative attitude.We actually only waited 4/5 mins max and the lady who assisted my mother was very helpful although I and everyone else could hear why she was in the branch. I also could hear an elderly gent having pin number issues and same main greeter as I call her not helping in any way.Very disappointing but scraped 3 stars because of a pleasant lady quickly resolving my mothers query.

I don't know if this branch's way of operating is the TSB standard but my last couple of visits here have left a bad taste in the mouth. Yesterday, I went in looking for information about opening a savings account for my daughter. I was told by one of the staff who I have taken to thinking of as bouncers to take a leaflet and scan the QR code where the information should be easy to find. The thing is, I like the idea of dealing with a bank and PEOPLE within it and I wanted advice. The message that I got was that they wanted me out of the bank ASAP.Similarly, I recently went into the branch to withdraw some money. I got past the bouncers and waited for 5 minutes in a line with one other person in it whilst 2 members of staff were floating a till and the 2 bouncers stood in the middle of the room with nothing to do. To cut a long story short, I didn't know exactly how much money I needed, but that it was an amount that had been transferred to my account that morning. I wanted the cashier to have a look at my account and let me withdraw whatever that amount of money was. The cashier told me what the balance was on that account (which was not what I asked) so I withdrew that. The cashier then commented,"You could have just done this at the machine, you know?" And I am sure he was right. But the fact is that I came into the bank, where he was being paid to assist people, for some assistance as opposed to standing at an ATM trying to muddle my own way through menus that I assumed he would be fluent in. Again, it felt like a successful outcome for TSB would be whatever gets you out the door quicker.Truth be told, if it wasn't such a hassle to change banks, I'd have left TSB years ago. Their online services are unreliable and their interest in personal banking is a thing of the past. My daughter's savings account will likely go to RBS/Natwest.

Terrible customer service in this Bank. They have forgotten that the money in your account is yours, not there?s. Once I empty my account 30 years of banking with the TSB will be over. Enough is enough.
