Just back from having the Sunday roast dinner the options were ham or roast beef myself and hubby had roast beef it was amazing big plateful and served with plenty of veg.
The plates were emptied.
Had then some dessert and drinks amazing service lovely atmosphere defo will return .

My first visit today for lunch with my daughter. I will return. Friendly and timely service, great food, portion sizes were generous, super menu to choose from, overall a lovely experience. Discussed gluten free options for other family members and found the staff knowledgable and reassured that they cater for coeliac appropriately. The place had a nice vibe and seated us comfortably. Thank you for the warm welcome on what was a bitterly cold day.

The rooms are a bit tired and could do with a face lift. It was clean. The staff were very nice and friendly.

Reservation made through booking, from September 10 to 11, we arrived and the heating was off. We requested that it be turned on. And twice, they told us to wait for it to warm up. More than an hour waiting in the room with the coat on and the heating did not start. So we decided to look for another hotel, since it was eight degrees and we couldn't sleep without heating. We told the guy who helped us, who was really very kind, and he told us that the solution was some portable radiators. That was not what we had contracted for, so we decided to leave. They told us to request a refund through booking, and so we did. To our surprise, they have not responded, so booking has not been able to refund our money. In the end we paid for two rooms and 60 km that we had to travel with the car. This is no way to take care of a client, if you offer a service and then it breaks down or for whatever reason you don't have it, you are consistent and return the money.
EDITED: After reading your response, it has become even clearer to me what kind of responsible person you are. At all times of the problem, he was there and at no time did he show his face or explain, I'm not surprised, the same attitude as with the refund issue... NO ANSWER! I don't understand what confirmation has to do with having the heating on and I think payment is sufficient confirmation. The one who is going to need LUCK is your premises and employees to maintain employment, with the decisions and type of manager that you are.

The access to the rooms was incredibly dirty, the rooms had virtually no storage space, and the windows were completely dirty. Staff incredibly unfriendly

Service was great. No issues checking in. I was in the annex accommodation. Room was very clean and basic. Bathroom was exclusively for the room, however located outside the room. Two random double couches in the bedroom which could be better placed for say, watching the TV in the evening. No instructions on checking out. Main building was closed in the morning so I just guessed at leaving the key in the room which I wasn't that comfortable with as it meant leaving the doors unlocked. More instructions on checking out needed. But overall, a decent room for a very short stay.

For an older property it was very nicely decorated.
The outside seating at the front was decked with individual cubicles for four or more with some designed for couples. The dining room was nicely set out, food was excellent with friendly attentive staff. Unfortunately due to staffing issues there was no breakfast during the week. However a very short distance there were a couple of cafes & a wetherspoons available. The wi-fi was available but we were unable to connect to it during our stay.

What a lovely quirky pub with plenty of rooms above . Arrived for an overnight stay with my job. Carpark small for my van but don't let that put you off as there's a multi storey carpark across the road. Rooms are just lovely with a free bottle of water and iron brew in the fridge. I chosed to dine in the pub and the service was quick, lovely and helpful staff and compliments to the chef as that was one nice lasagne.
