Gym equipment is dated and poorly maintained. The ridiculous monthly membership fee is not reflected in the maintainence of equipment. Better off paying less than half the price at a proper gym. The membership fee only covers use of certain bannatyne clubs aswell with a daft tier system.

A Christmas present voucher was used today and I was not disappointed. Great place and amazing staff. Access to gym, pool, spa session then a nice lunch with prosecco. Definitely will be back ?

I?ve popped in tonight to have a look and if liked to buy the membership, but the guy on reception said that no one can show it to me and I have to come back at 6 am tomorrow! I left bannatine falkirk few years ago just because of the staff, I thought that it might have changed, but not, all the same, doesn?t care about customer. They just now lost the long term customer, weird, I will never understand that kind of approaching the business.

Great spa day here! The main entrance receptionist was very nice to walk us through how it would work and where all facilities were.Experience was incredible, the spa attendees are fabulous, funny and kind. Very informative and take time to ask what you feel you need most.Took my mum for her spa day, facilities are super clean and easy to use :) we loved the steam room and jacuzzi.Lea was super great with me, she made me feel super relaxed and took into consideration my skin type for the facial and stress areas for massage ! Perfect pressure and skin has reacted lovely! Thank yous so much!Maxine

"Overall" I enjoy Bannatynes. Staff are friendly and there's a decent range of equipment. However the heavy weights area is hogged by the usual Alphas making it difficult to access the full variety of machines in your workout regime. This experience can be pretty standard in most gyms. Equipment is fine but some seem pretty aged and in need of replacement - it's certainly not state of the art in Falkirk. The dressing room doors are old, hobbled together, and needing revamped. Showers are difficult to regulate and really old school. I'm starting to have serious doubts about my continued membership as the enforcement of the hygiene standards leaves much to be desired. Some openly lie in the jacuzzi during cleaning times and there seems no enforcement of the Clubs own rules by the staff who simply walk past. Occasionally I'll witness the manky mob go straight from the sauna into the jacuzzi (or swimming pool for that matter), without showering meaning I'm lying in their stinking sweat which I find quite repulsive. Machines aren't wiped down by most members after use which probably explains the lousy cold I have just now. No staff ever question the lack of member hygiene or remind users of their obligations to others. It doesn't help when paper towels are unavailable 10-20% of the time. In the gym itself frequently - and I mean frequently - you can't get on machines with people openly texting on their iphones or posting to Facebook, and few staff are around to remind people of their obligations or just can't be bothered to have the necessary conversations when they are present. I literary saw 3 machines in one row this week occupied by people on their iphones and I couldn't get on as they each sat and texted for literally over 5-10 minutes. That's not simply down to ignorant people but more so the lack of staff discipline to deal with an obvious lack of respect to their own company policy. We sometimes change our music between sets while recovering but this is ridiculous. If you don't impose rules then you don't have any. Quite simply there's no emphasis to standard etiquette which can only be addressed by more alert staff who currently show a lack of disciplined attention to remit. If key rules aren't imposed then it makes a farce of claiming to have standards. I reported all this recently but since then nothing has changed. I'll be reluctantly reviewing my pricey membership when my annual commitment comes to an end which is a shame as there should be no reason to leave. It's a reflection on management. If things improve then I'll think differently but I've given an objective critique based on experience and comparison to other gyms attended for over 30 years.

I love coming to this gym but it's getting so old and tired. A few issues in the past few weeks include: all of the lights went out and they had to use spotlights on the ground, the steam room gets patched up every couple of weeks, the water fountain sprays you with water (why not fix it instead of putting a sign there?) theres always at least 1 machine out of order, some of the doors not functioning and have signs on, my coat got ruined from loads of grease inside a locker, the plants around the pool are so sad looking it's almost funny. I also went to the gym three nights in one week this month to find no hand soap in any of the dispensers, they had been emptied and not refilled. On the third night I finally asked the cleaner to fill them up, she seemed confused about why they were empty. The cleaning standards around the pool have also slipped so much and the showers are unbelievably gross now. The whole place just needs ripped out and started again, all of the equipment is old and scabby, your hands absolutely stink after a workout, its just not great. Not worth 50 quid a month anymore sorry.

Great pool, great equipment and especially good classes. Always the same issue with 3-4 machines being out of order or malfunction. Still a great gym!

I booked a spontaneous spa day with my best friend to celebrate her engagement and we are soooo happy we booked Banntayne Falkirk! From the minute we entered the club till the minute we left we were looked after so so well. Receptionist was lovely and very helpful, someone then showed us around the club and helped us decided what to do first etc - lovely lady! The gym was great. We then went to the spa for our treatments and the spa manager Gemma was so welcoming and friendly and wow our treatments were just FAB! I didn?t want my Elemis facial to end, it was so relaxing and the whole experience was incredibly professional and relaxing. We then had a cream tea made by a lovely guy - didn?t catch his name but again he was very friendly and upbeat! All in all we had the best day ever and will 100% be back very soon. Thank you all at Bannatynes Falkirk!
