First time we have visited the village inn why on holiday in largs and we had a wonderful time and great food and pet's are allowed in the bar and great beer garden at the back of the pub staff was very helpful and professional and friendly and great atmosphere in the bar and great value for money if you are on holiday in largs then do try this place out you will enjoy and great views over the Loch and a stone throw away from the beach areas

For a Village Inn it serves excellent pub grub and has a good range of beers & lagers including a featured real ale.

We decided to give this place a look while staying at the campsite at Kelburn Castle. We arrived late and they were still serving food, so that's a bonus. The meals themselves were satisfying in everyway. Definitely gonna come here again before we finish out camp.

Amazing hideout eatery! Very spacious and the staff was so accommodating and friendly to me & my kids ? if you're a foodie, do try their day specials! Their standard menu options are lovely too. Deffo a cozy option to hide away on a stormy day, with very atmospheric outdoor sitting as well ???? we went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy, many tables reserved however found a table with no wait luckily ??

The village inn was a Great find, me my wife and our 3 Yr old son spent the whole day just up the road at kelburn Castle and we were all hungry and shattered by the time we left and chose to come here for some grub, we where not dissapointed. The food was great. My wife had the homemade stake pie and I had the home made chicken and bacon pie, both really nice and the vegetables were fresh cooked not frozen. Our son had the homemade chicken goujons in panko bread crumbs and devoured them. We will definitely be back when we are visiting the area in the future. Staff were very friendly too

A great place to stop and have a great meal
Our waitress kayde was so friendly and helpful with some of our food allergies
We would highly recommend anyone wanting to stop here for something to eat and with a great view of the loch and surrounding sceenery

Was not expecting to have one of the best curries ive tasted in a little pub like this. Good value for money; the portion was massive and everything was delicious. Service was super quick and friendly. We look forward to returning.

The experience left me very annoyed by the servers thoughtlessness and poor attention to detail or care.
They moved us from our table unnecessary to a small table next to a loud group of people watching football and we waited an hour for very simple food, uncomplicated to prepare and then brought the food out after the people who came after us, i was very annoyed, I do not like poor service and being treated like we don't matter??
For the people that run this place, think about HOW YOU WOULD FEEL, if you were treated like that, left waiting for an hour next to noisy people. Totally unacceptable and left with a bad taste, and bad memories of this experience.
