This must be one of Scotlands best kept secrets - it's fantastic, but so unassuming! The food is top quality, especially the seafood of course ( the catch of the day is landed right there, on the coast) and staff are all excellent. PLUS you can BYOB! (and if you didn't bring one, the farm shop attached has a good stock!). Sean, the chef, is clearly top class but seems to have chosen to work in this delightful family run restaurant than move to the big city-corporate world. This is a regular stop for us - it should be for everyone.

Went for lunch after being recommended however left bitterly disappointed. Nice surroundings and staff however the seafood was terrible. Tasted of nothing. Won't be back.

Best seafood restaurant I?ve ever been to. Eat here at least once a week and always look forward to seeing the specials board. Food is outstanding and the service is 5 star. Have taken many friends here and they have all loved it. Well worth a visit.

What a great find! Fresh fish & seafood cooked to perfection in lovely, friendly, casual surroundings. Staff were great, a few minutes by taxi from Largs and well worth the effort to get there. It felt like I was sitting in a friends kitchen, a great night! (BYOB)

Great little find! Fresh local seafood with plenty to choose from. Owner and staff are super friendly and they will even open the farm shop for you after your meal with lots of local produce to take home. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing. Not busy but still felt cosy. The smoked trout filled profiterole was lovely.

Felt this place was a bit hit or miss. I had the scallops, which were fantastic, but my wife had the black pudding which was fairly average. For mains I had the haddock with potato and cream sauce. Not quite cullen skink, but similar. It was OK. My wife had the mussels though which she thoroughly enjoyed. All of this would probably be 4 stars if it wasn't for the price. Felt it was a bit expensive for what we got, but then maybe if we ordered different dishes it would be another story.

After visiting the attached shop a few times recently, we decided to try the restaurant on a Friday evening and were not disappointed. The menu itself is not huge but it was a difficult decision in what to choose. There are quite a few specials on the board that made our decision even harder. I chose Cullen Skink and my wife had black pudding bon bons for starters and they were delicious. I had mixed grill of fish fillets and my wife had a ribeye steak, and again both dishes were cooked to perfection and very well presented. To round off we both chose profiteroles from the special board. It was a lovely evening in a small cosy restaurant and we will definitely make a return visit .

What an amazing find! I find it hard to find a decent fish restaurant these days so I was made up to find this little place. When you arrive you go through a little courtyard with a shop selling craft foods and beverages and fresh fish. We had booked online for the restaurant but we were the one ones in there due to the time of our booking. The menu wasn?t extensive but it was sufficient. There were 5 in our party including our 8 year old fussy eater ?. We had fresh Scallops, fresh mussels, tempura langoustines, tempura chicken and salmon pate for starters. Kids gosh and chips, fish and chips, halibut and bacon with poached egg and 2 fish mixed grill. The mixed grill had ?whatever fish the chef decided to grab? on it (servers words ?), turned out to be halibut, salmon, sea bream, langoustine and clams. It was all very fresh and best we?ve had. The chips were absolutely gorgeous too. They don?t serve alcohol though and so you have to buy it from the shop and take it in with you which is no problem ?

6 of us booked Saturday 26th for an early evening meal, waiters very sweet but slow to take our order... langostines in a starter where tiny tails and very hard to peel, finger bowls were too small, no more paper napkins were offered with the main meals,we had to ask for lemon to go with the oysters, the tempura langustines pretty tasteless, no condiments were offered i.e salad oil etc during the meal ..the halibut main came with mussels instead of clams and the mash Portion it sat on was tiny, I had moules and there was an un pleasant and over powering taste of wood smoke in the whole dish, this was not mentioned on the menu and I left my main for others to try,we bought our own drinks but the cans were not cleared and we took them home again, no one asked if we minded doing this, none of us had a sweet or side dishes because it was all a bit pricey, place has Potential but it wont be my go to place, sorry guys.

I went in today for some lunch which was spectacular. Loved the food so much, however i over heard some shouting going on in the kitchen as it was very very loud by a chef i think but the language coming out of that staff members mouth was absolutely shocking to hear.
