Stopped in for Sunday dinner and was very impressed, good sized portions, freshly made with fresh veg on the side. I had steak pie, wife had the roast beef and daughter had the pork, all were excellent and keenly priced. Will definitely return in the future.

Very nice I only had time for 1 drink but a busy pub. Although it would certainly merit a second visit.
The Belhaven is 1 of my favourite beers and this pint was very nice. But this was not the only reason that this was for me a special, special day.
(1) The New Inn is in a village called Coldingham which is in Scotland. Every time bar one I have been to Coldingham in the past it has rained ? but not today.
(2) I got to St Abbs Head. Because I was on a walk a few years ago but it was too windy to go to St Abbs Head.
(3) There were 3 people out with us today who were younger than me YIPPEE. I mean after 20-plus years I just got used to it. Although it is nice to have a day off once in a while.
Plenty of climbing today but if you don't work hard then you don't get your rewards.
We certainly did today a very, very special day.

Had a lovely fish and chips here, it was what it was but was absolutely delicious, prices in general weren't too bad. We were in the dog friendly area, basic but completely adequate. Service was speedy and efficient. ?

We really enjoyed our fish and chips. The portions were very generous, my husband, our great niece and myself are all good eaters but none of could finish the food. The only downfall was the chairs were uncomfortable.

Not sure why dogs aren't as welcome in pubs in Scotland as they are in Yorkshire but at least the New Inn welcomed us into their snooker room bar. So a star lost for ambience, but the service and food was excellent. The Haddock was fresh and perfectly cooked, we loved the chunky chips. The Veggie Lasagne was delicious, nothing like a previous review we had read. Thanks to Iona for her attentive service and the chef for serving up great food.

Just back from a lovely Sunday dinner with my partner and my 3 step kids. My partner had squid to start with and he said it was beautiful. I had the beef Sunday dinner and the beef just melted in your mouth the whole dinner was really lovely. My partner had the venison for his main and he thoroughly enjoyed that too. The kids had Sunday dinners and one had a burger and they enjoyed theirs too. We then had sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake and the portion sizes are very good.
I liked the fact there is a very good selection of starters and main courses on the board which you don't often get on a menu but there was something for everyone which I found really good.
Overall the pub itself is lovely the owners are very warm and welcoming and nothings too much trouble.
I will deffinetly be back again to try something else on the menu.
