Booked coldingham bay for a weeks break as I have many happy memories of going up the east coast as a child and was looking forward to take my own daughter. We arrived late after travelling on a ferry for 2 and half hours and then a 4 and half hr drive checked in just before reception shut. Arrived at the caravan you could already see the door was dirty from the outside. Went inside the beds had pubic hairs and there was also stains on the duvet covers tucked in so we couldn't see them absaloutely disgusting. The microwave had food splatters there was dust everywhere, dirty oven dirty floors toothpaste stains on shelf dirty toilet roll burn marks on carpet. I had to go buy cleaning stuff to clean as I had no choice as reception was now shut. I went to reception next day and was given 40 voucher to spend on site between 3 of us which is a bit pointless as you can't leave your dog in the caravan so how we could sit in and have a meal I don't know ! As the days went by I had dogs off leads running up to my caravan as I was outside with my dog who is very anxious and also a guarding breed so this could have been a disaster my poor dog was very unsettled. There was also an issue with water that site failed to inform us of it took one of the fellow holiday makers to tell me to go take bottled water because of the issue. I took my daughter to the park which only had a tyre swing and a see saw I've never heard my child say she wanted to leave a park so quick I then took her to the arcade and all the was was a couple of 2p machines and a couple of grabber machines safe to say My daughter who is 4 was bored within minutes. I ended up deciding to leave 3 days early as I was so dissapointed with the place and booked a holiday elsewhere no compensation nothing

Coldingham village is beautiful & the beach amazing. The caravan park was quiet & staff very friendly. A few 'blips' re no hot water for a couple of days, toilet not flushing, window blind falling down but they were quickly dealt with by the staff. We were given vouchers for the cafe as recompense & the use of another caravan for shower so all-in-all it worked out well in the end.

Booked in for 2 nights with our Motorhome, no directions to reception so we drove around twice and ended up asking a grass cutter where reception was, we finally found our pitch with no idea where we were going, the flies were horrendous, the pitch was horrible, no view apart from old caravans and awnings, very dated and the and we did a quick 3 point turn and got out of there

Never again, the area designated for motor homes and tourers has been taken over by travellers looking for lengthy stays. (Seasonal pitches) we stayed for 2 nights at the end of June and wish we hadn?t. No sleep the second night kept awake by those staying in caravan next to us playing loud music and shouting and swearing at each other. The management team couldn?t care less seemingly preferring to make their money from those with no concept of good manners. Also pitches are advertised as being for tourers when the majority clearly are not. Those looking for peace and tranquility in this beautiful area should find somewhere else to stay.

Nice walks and ideal for taking the dog.I'm talking about the area, just don't buy a caravan as it'll end up a nightmare once they have your money.

This review is for the new restaurant facility and relates to allergen availability. Basically, if you are coeliac, you can have chips and sticky toffee pudding for your dinner. And that's it. Ok there's jacket potato. This is absolutely unacceptable for a chain like verdant. It renders this facility unusable for those with gluten allergies. We had to leave. Sort this out. Very disappointed with what is a brand new facility.

My husband and I stayed for 5 weeks whilst our house was being built. We had a 4 berth caravan. It was extremely clean with good amenities. The van was warm and comfortable. The reception and site staff couldn?t do enough to help. The clubhouse was being constructed which we enjoyed watching its progress over 5 weeks. Think it?s set to open in May. Locals have free access to the clubhouse events so we will no doubt be there on a regular basis! There is a local we?ll stocked shop just 10 mins walk away and all supermarkets delivery to the site. Coldingham village is a delight! Beach is a drive but worth it! Stay at Scoutscroft if you want to be in walking distance of the beach.

Had a lovely time at Coldingham Bay. A few initial issues resolved by good customer service onsite and the customer service team. Caravan was large with good quality bedding. Kitchen had everything you needed in it. The site is so close to Coldingham beach and St Abbs which were great for walks. Berwick is also close with lovely walks around the town. The site was getting work carried out on it, but I would definitely return to it once the new facilities are open.

Beautiful clean lodge in a lovely quiet park. Well equipped including a washer/dryer and nice spacious bedrooms. The site is perfect for a lovely walk to Coldingham Bay where you can enjoy a coastal walk followed by a delicious hot drink and home made slice of cape at the nearby Surf shop. Within a short drive to Eyemouth and Berwick and only an hour from Edinburgh or take a train ride at just £9. Work was being carried out on a new Restaurant on the site which we were pre-warned about so no meals on site but plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby and very little disruption.

Lovely site peaceful, clean caravan and lovely site staff. My grandson was unwell on the first night and needed new bedding staff provided this without any quibbles and were absolutely fabulous. Thank you. Clubhouse currently being renovated which I have been told by returning customers was a lovely clubhouse but just wanted a quiet couple of days so didnt miss it this time but look forward to revisiting when it opens at easter. Thank you all again

The caravans are nice and mostly clean we were in a dog friendly van and unfortunately there were a few stains on the carpets which did spoil my appion of the van you could tell they were wee stains as my dogs went straight to them should of been clean better. The site is nice and clean the only down side is you have to travel to go places at least 40mins

So bitterly disappointed with our 'stay'. Me and my boyfriend had booked a touring pitch for one night. We arrived at around 4pm and we had already noticed a literal marquee attached to one of the caravans with lots of people in it having a party. We didn't think much of it as it was just the afternoon so we just got on with our night. The time got later and later and by 10.30pm the music was louder than ever and there was a crowd of people screaming and shouting. I'm never one to complain, but I phoned the warden asking for someone to go and ask them to turn the music down. At this point I noticed that there was no 'quiet time' for this particular site as there normally is at others... The warden seemed lovely over the phone and said he would go and see what was happening; he knew which pitch it was before I even told him which indicates this isn't the first time these people have acted this way. He then called me back some 20 minutes later to tell me that he went over and asked them to turn their music down but one of the men started getting confrontational with him, he then told me he couldn't actually do anything more than ask them to turn it down and log it in the incident book (fair enough but I would have thought there would be some sort of security on call). Anyway the warden was lovely but unfortunately no real help in this situation. We waited it out a bit longer but the noise was just so ridiculous, so we ended up leaving the site at 12am and driving home! Luckily we only live just over an hour away, but we would have really struggled to get any sleep at all as there was no sign of their party ever ending. Unfortunately the rest of the site didn't make up for this at all, the toilets were dirty and not well kept - I'm also glad I missed the morning shower rush as there were only 3 womens showers for the full site! Me and my boyfriend are only in our early 20s and really aren't the complaining type, so it really takes a bad experience for us to do this. But if you are looking for a relaxing caravan site then please do not book this site - I wish we looked more carefully at the reviews before we booked. We passed a lovely little campsite situated next to horses paddocks near St Abbas, before checking in to Coldongham Bay Leisure we actually contemplated staying at the small site instead but decided not to - big regret! If you are looking for sites in this area I would maybe take a look at the small one with the horses!

Very quiet park. Caravan was lovely, perfect base for going lovely long walks with the dogs. Only small bad point there was no clubhouse and we weren't aware of that until our arrival. You can use facilities at the sister site but it is a distance away.Still had a fantastic holiday and we'll definitely go back.
