I was in the annex which seemed quite new. Well appointed room. I would have liked to experience the rooms in the main building with more history. The staff were welcoming and the bar had a wide variety of whiskies as you would expect in this area. It is in a good location quite close to the centre of Elgin which has a good variety of independent shops, resturantes and bars. I didn't eat at the hotel apart from breakfast which was fine, you can choose what you want for a cooked breakfast including haggis, which was great. There were other options too.

We had a lovely meal here after arriving with no booking, though it was fairly early at 5.15pm. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. Very happy.

Rooms....have cheap mobile beads, building is old, probably some may appreciate the characters of something old but....hmmm...not. staff is friendly, but this place can't go over 3 stars with all his fame.. Maybe 3 stars earned from respect you have to give to elderies. Food is good though.

What a fantastic find.I'm sure everyone locally knows how good this place is, but it was a delight to experience the best food and service I've had in a very long time.

This is an amazing place. People make places though eh?! My first stay: 5pm Monday I was welcomed by (Amazing Concierge) Amy and immediately she made me feel like it was a home away from home. The Hotel has a great vibe, as evidenced by a very busy Restaurant filled with local customers and bar flys. I look forward to my next 4 days.

Took 3 guests for a meal on Saturday night, and was delighted with the whole experience. A warm welcome into a beautiful restaurant, and immediately felt welcome. All members of the staff were efficient, and friendly. The quality of the food was terrific. Cooked to the highest standard and beautifully presented. Very generous portion size too. Definitely returning.

Our party of 20 golfers had a marvellous stay at the Sunninghill Hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very professional and welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble. The food, whether evening dining or breakfast, was exceptional and satisfied the largest of appetites. We only stayed for 3-nights but wish it could have been longer. This is a family run business and they know how to look after their guests. Simply brilliant hosts. This is a highly recommend hotel. We will definitely return.

Room spotless, bed so comfy. I slept so well. Food was delicious, highly recommended the venison burger! If you like your whisky, they have a huge selection. Staff were so accommodating. Will definitely again.

We visited for a family meal. We booked in advance and when we arrived the hotel was busy and running late. We were asked to have a drink and wait until a table became fee. The staff forgot we were waiting and we had to remind them half an hour later. There was an exchange of words at the bar, with some staff becoming quite confrontational, but eventually it was sorted. The meal was delicious and served in quick time. The waiting staff were excellent, helpful, bright and cheery

We highly recommend this hotel ! We were allocated the annex on the ground floor and couldn?t fault very comfortable clean and spacious ! The breakfast in the morning was beautiful everything made to order with piping hot tea/ toast ! and very plentiful ! The service was amazingly good also the staff couldn?t do enough for us ! Our stay was only for the one night but so impressed we will be back !

I didn't stay but had a birthday dinner with friends. I was impressed with the quality and range of food and drinks on offer, all at competitive prices. Welcoming atmosphere, with friendly professional waiting and bar staff. Service was faultless. Really enjoyed my dinner. Only disappointment was the crême brulée, which was too runny. I wouldn't have that again but everything else was excellent.

A lovely hotel with great staff....our room was plush and spacious...the food was delicious and the very experienced bar tender gave me a few pointers towards quality single malts that were not too expensive...we will definitely be back for another break.
