Popped in past today with my granddaughter, she had her eye on a new piano, she was able to try out a couple, nothing was too much trouble for the helpful staff they were more than happy to answer any questions we had, and the best part was it was delivered to her house less than an hour after we left the shop. Disappointing Experience ? Overpriced & Outdated
I recently visited this music shop for the first time, and from the moment I arrived, I was left underwhelmed. The condensation on the windows made the display completely invisible from the outside?a red flag in itself, raising concerns about moisture levels inside.
Upon entering, I was immediately hit with the overpowering smell of a propane heater, which made the atmosphere quite unpleasant. While the store had a spacious and well-laid-out design, it felt extremely rundown, reminiscent of a neglected 90s music shop. The signs of leakage on the ceiling, worn-out instrument hangers missing protective padding, and aging stock behind the counter only added to this impression.
My biggest issue, however, was the pricing. Many items?both new and second-hand?were significantly overpriced. For example, some Vintage V100 guitars were being sold at full RRP, with an almost £200 markup compared to online competitors. A second-hand Boss GT-8 was priced close to what it originally cost new, which is simply unreasonable. I had planned to purchase an American Pro Stratocaster, but after seeing the inflated prices, I went elsewhere and saved £350.
Another downside was the customer service. The staff were overly pushy and watched customers like hawks, making for an unwelcoming experience. While I appreciate that they are running a business, there was no consideration for modern pricing trends or online competition.
Overall, while I admire their effort in keeping a physical music store running, the shop desperately needs modernisation, better pricing strategies, and general upkeep. Unfortunately, due to the poor experience and high prices, I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere.

This guitar shop is great, bought myself a Tanglewood blackbird OE electro acoustic from here on Saturday and it's great, big thanks and shout out to Jamie who had the patience of a saint while I was choosing between the two Tanglewood guitars and for helping me choose a good capo too, definitely recommend this shop,going back soon to get a carlsbro 30r amp, very happy customer and will use sound an vision again in the future, thanks again Jamie ??
