Orin was an excellent choice to celebrate buying my new business premises in Elgin. We were there for the tapas evening. Delicious is an understatement. Suffice to say this was tapas like we?ve never ever had before.
We kicked off with Margaritas, a classic and a spicy ( compliments to the bar staff) then enjoyed wine with the meal. The staff couldn?t do enough, so attentive. It?s certainly a night we will not forget in a hurry. We had such a good time.
I?ll be nipping up for post work cocktails ?Thank you to the team at Orins.

A painful 2*.
It wasn?t ever going to be a 5* tonight, and I feel bad really leaving a 2*. I just pride myself on being super honest within hospitality and services.
After hearing about the fabled Orrin for so long in Elgin, I finally made a trip this evening.
The starters were two salads, one with shrimp and another was kind of weird. Can?t remember what it was. They were ok. The shrimp was a bit too sickly.
Mains were the fillet, again was ok. The monkfish was alright, but the sauces were very overindulgent.
Dessert again, the dark chocolate was just meh.
The main problem tonight was staffing hiccups. The waitress kept coming every 5 minutes ready to take our plates when we weren?t finished. It was a bit repetitive and felt like we were being chased out. I decided it would be a 3* review, just average experience.
However, as we were enjoying our wine; the same waitress came and sprayed the tables directly next to us with endless amounts of chemical spray. We couldn?t finish dessert or wine, so we left half a bottle. Wouldn?t go back- but decor is lovely.

A stylish restaurant with excellent service, elegant beautifully presented food and delicious wines.
Only complaint is that there is only one vegetarian choice so we wouldn't want to go regularly and have the same dish each time. But for special occasions it's a lovely treat.

Fab meal last night at Orrin. Everything was perfect , the food the cocktails. Richard was excellent front house, so attentive and can?t wait to go back. Highly recommend

We were welcomed straight away and shown to our table in the first instance by Richard, even though we were early for our reservation.
The food and wine we chose from the menu was explained further to us by Richard, leaving no doubt that we had chosen well, thank you. We were also informed it was a new menu.
We cannot commend the chef and front room staff enough, they were chatty, friendly and courteous in all respect, the presentation of the food and subsequent taste, was first class. We can?t wait to go back.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. A brilliant taster menu with wines and cocktail menu to match. A perfect menu of very fresh and seasonal delicacies to tempt you. A wonderful personal table service was informative and reassuring too, expertly talking you through the individual dishes. Can't wait to visit again. Perfect.

Amazing food and friendly knowledgeable service. We felt we were seated a little close to other diners when there was plenty of room. This is a minor point and it did not detract from having a lovely experience

Orrin accommodated us as a group of 5 last minute for Christmas lunch after being let down at another establishment, we are so glad that we were. The staff were welcoming and so friendly. The food was excellent as were the cocktails and I highly recommend a visit.

We always have a fantastic experience at Orrin. I suffer from a food allergy and the level of care taken by staff puts me at complete ease that I?m safe in their hands. They?re also able to advise on what parts of a dish will involve my uncommon allergen and it really shows the care and dedication taken with the food they make - and the knowledge of their produce. I don?t feel the same level of reassurance elsewhere, regardless of price point. We?ve paid more locally when dining out and Orrin blows them out the water. The food is always outstanding, and even my fussy 12 year old says the food is ?amazing?. For those 18 and up, the cocktails are also delicious. We joke in our house that our tummies are sad after leaving. We look forward to cheering our stomachs up again soon!
Dietary restrictions: As above, Orrin staff are great when dealing with my uncommon allergy. In some places I?ve felt like a pest for asking, and in others I haven?t felt confident I?m safe to eat. That?s never an issue here.
Kid-friendliness: My 12 year old was spoken to directly and not through mum / dad, which they appreciate. It may seem like a small thing but having confidence to say what you like / don?t like is a hugely important life skill, and helps kids to set boundaries about their own autonomy. It?s nice to have that reinforced by others outside the home.

Had a fantastic meal here for my wife?s birthday. Staff were polite and attentive.
Whisky selection was very good. Look forward to eating here again
