We were there on Monday 10th having afternoon tea. Very disappointed with firstly service no one once asked if everything was ok!??
Few sandwiches all of one type no variety for 4 people!!? Too many cream cakes.
Wouldn't rush back sadly

High end wool mill and shop. We did the mill tour and was taken round by a very informative guide showing us the whole process. Couldn't take photos due to customer confidentiality with the fabrics being made but we saw Burberry and channel fabrics being made start to finish. Lovely cafe in site, very high end products and fabrics. Tour well worth a go.

The coffee shop / restaurant is fabulous and well worth a visit. We had two lovely coffees plus Smoked Salmon, scrambled eggs on sourdough toast and a bacon roll which were perfectly cooked. Great service from the young team and the products in the shop were pricey but looked very well made

Beautiful place

I personally visited the factory there last century. I bought a nice black cashmere scarf there. Now it is a bit worn out after more than 30 years. Now a new one is needed. From Johnstons of Elgin, of course.

Very nice store with very good quality but very expensive products. We thought we could visit the wool factory but obviously this was not possible, so very disappointed.

Never have I been so disappointed. Ordered the Gluten Free Afternoon Tea and was given carrot sticks, grated cheese, and chickpea purée together with packaged oat cookies.
A couple of the usual favourites were provided but had to request cream for the scone.
Expected far better.

The guided tour of the factory was a great experience, while you need a huge wallet for purchases in the shop ?

We had a wonderful tour around the factory with Morah, who was so good you simply could not tell she had possibly given this tour hundreds of times. She was really knowledgeable, friendly and an all round great guide. The tearoom was very nice. Sadly, we can no longer afford their jumpers but it was a real treat to visit.

We visited the cafe made an order and waited about an hour then one of the waiters came and apologized and said our food order would be sorted immediately.
Then he came back and said he was very sorry but they had sold out of the things we had ordered.
Yeah it happens but I wished we had complained earlier it certainly didn't pay for us to wait patiently whilst others were being served...very bad organisation!

We booked a tour. The guide was nervous. I would think that she was new. The tour was informative and interesting. The restaurant was good and the cakes were delicious.

I had heard of this luxury brand of high quality cashmere and wool and wanted to visit them while I was visiting Scotland and stopping at Elgin. I was so fortunate to be greeted by one their sales associates, Karen, who took excellent care to explain the utmost quality procedures followed to create this luxury line of wool wears. I was impressed with her passionate approach because it so clearly exemplified the values of care to create a quality product that will last a lifetime, sustainability at each level of the sourcing to manufacturing process and also how well cared the employees working both the manufacturing and store, truly are. Karen is a gem of an asset and she helped me understand what this luxury brand stands for. Thank you for a wonderful walkthru.

High quality goods. High quality prices. The tour was good. A must if in Elgin.
