Place needs a good clean for a start. One of the coffee/tea machines was not working due to running out of milk, reported it but nothing was done for the hour I was there. Went to use the gents toilets, and whilst I was there a female staff member came in and signed that she had checked the toilets, which she didnt, just came in signed and left, place was filthy, and no toilet paper in either cubicle.

It's a standard weather spoons affair, pretty decent in the center of Elgin, cheap food and drink but comments on the table was the food wasnt hot enough when it came really. Other than that good polite service in a nice old building setting

The employees are nice and helpful and the food was okay. Very good dessert though. I still very much enjoyed my stay. You can also get beer for a good price ;)

As a local who's visited this bar many times across the years, it only ever gets worse. Was there with a group of friends recently and It was awful. The bar staff were really rude and unqualified. Each time we ordered a drink they gave us something different or didn't know how to make what was asked for (a tall vodka by the way isn't an unusual ask) They stood in groups chatting whilst the bar was full of customers waiting to be served. (Don't expect a smile with it either) The bar itself was soaking and covered in flyers and coasters stuck to it. You couldn't sit there or touch the bar without getting wet. In general it's filthy and could use a good clean including the understocked bathrooms. 5 star for consistency though!

Had to sit directly opposite the kitchen door which was propped open. Over flowing bin rubbish dropped food on the floor. Staff not wearing gloves or hats as far as I could see. ( I'm not sure they have to ). The disabled toilet was downstairs about a metre away from diners with the door open should the toilet itself. My wife who is disabled was unable to use it due to privacy concerns.
