“We had a lovely meal here after arriving with no booking, though it was fairly early at 5.15pm. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. Very happy.”

“We didn't stay in the hotel, we had an early dinner for our anniversary, a really nice-looking building, we ate in the conservatory with doors open, to let a breeze in, gorgeous flowers on the windows and a lovely garden area. I was a bit disappointed with the vegan options, i chose the spinach and pumpkin burger, but it was just like two burgers from tesco between a white bun and lettuce. Then, only soup on offer was chicken. At least a vegan/vegetarian option would be nice to offer non meat eaters. The coconut ice cream was delicious, and my husband really enjoyed his haddock and bakewell tart profiteroles for dessert. Really friendly staff and attentive. We do recommend it, and hopefully, next time, some more options for us non meat eaters.”

“Because we had a baby and there was a wedding at the same time of our stay, we were placed in a room where boise disturbance would be less likely. This was very thoughtful. We found all staff to be accommodating, friendly and considerate. It was also our anniversary and they kindly took this into consideration with our bill. Thank you all.”

“Staff go above and beyond to meet the requirements of guests. They are warm, welcoming and friendly and make sure they deliver 100% customer satisfaction. This was my 2nd stay here and I would highly recommend and look forward ro returning. Rooms are spotless and staff are always on hand to meet any other requirements I.e extra towels etc.”

“Stayed for one night. Lovely grand building. The restaurant was closed for evening meals so we went to Tesco which is next door. for nibbles and sat on the hotel terrace overlooking the river and had drinks from the bar. Our room was number 4 and I couldn’t fault it. Lovely pillows, big bed. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was perfect. Nice pit of coffee too. All in all a lovely night stay. I would return for sure.”

“Family group of 5 adults staying at adjacent Premier for three nights and had leisurely breakfast on 12, 13 & 14 September from about 9.30am to 10.30am. The staff, Norma and colleagues, were friendly, efficient and always bright and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Also, the breakfast itself was excellent with a choice that suited us all.”

“Lovely hotel great staff, food was excellent ( all day breakfast lovely).Unfortunately on our second morning there was one person running everything I felt sorry for her as she was doing her best apparently staff hadnt turned up ????Oh they were very accommodating with our dog.Rooms: Bed size”
