Very rare these days that I have a good experience with a garage. Image my delight when the guys & gals at Alan Milne (Elgin) not only completed my clutch change very speedily (despite being mega-busy, the whole yard was full of vehicles waiting for work), but they also repaired some additional faults while they were at it. To top it all, they charged me £100+ less than the original quote. 10/10 I would highly recommend!

Top notch service dept supervision and excellent communications. I recently took a Citroen in with a fault. They fixed this and resolved perfectly a potential warranty issue. There was also a recall notice which had not been addressed by the previous owners of the car. From initial contact, to a courtesy reminder call they made the week before the booking, to communication in person or via telephone while the car was with them, I was extremely impressed, and the staff were both friendly and knowledgeable.I've previously had an Audi and a Mercedes and those dealerships could learn a thing or 2 from this place. It's also worth pointing out we live in Peterhead which is an hour and a half away. But I'll happily make that trip for any further work or routine servicing based on the experience I had.I don't often write reviews but felt I had to in view of the excellent service I received, both from initial call to follow-up call. Please pass on my thanks to those involved - very impressed!

Useless customer service. You can't get through to them on the phone and are constantly directed to a voicemail service. If you try and use the email on their website it comes back as undeliverable. What's the point in them?

Customer service severely lacking in my experience. Struggled many times to get a confirmation by email from the service department for my booking(error only picked up when I called the week prior to check all the details having booked months ahead) which I eventually got but when I turned up on the day advised I had to come back the next day as appointment had been changed - these things happen but there was no word of an apology or offer to resolve which was worse and they changed it although they could not contact me to advise. I did get my car worked on that day and appreciate that but on the day it was a very awkward situation which I was determined to get resolved due to the distance I had travelled. Since then I have had to contact the service department again and again had a problem getting an email response from them. Once you could write off as a bad day but that is 3 separate occasions now :(

I have rung this company 3 times to book my car in following a recall letter from Citroen. Every time my call was directed to someone's voicemail with the promise of a return call. I am still waiting. Absolutely deplorable customer service.

Test drove lovely car. Agreed a price. Was advised the car would be going to the workshop to get checked over and i would get a telephone on Thursday the following week to pick new purchase up from the garage. So happy with purchase. Sold existing car in the meantime. Thursday came and received telephone call from Alistair to say "NOT THE CALL I WAS EXPECTING BUT THEY HAD SOLD MY CAR TO SOMEONE ELSE" What reputable company would conduct there business in such a deplorable way. Was told not "TO CRY OVER SPILT MILK" and that they could look for something else for me. Well seriously to say i was disapointed is an understatement. So its the bus for me until i can find another car. Beggers belief Alan Milne in Elgin are still trading.
