I am not gonna be too harsh, but it took a while for the staff to notice me and pass me a menu. The most questionable thing which gives me doubt is an award winning haggis being served in under 5 minutes. I would like to wish it is fresh. It is quite pricey as well for its portion.

I requested a chalcoal beef for medium rare but turn out it was ALL WELL DONE. Food is not good but whisky menu is intetesting. Suggest not for dining but drinking is okay

Waitress wasn't very attentive, didn't notice we were asking a question, but took it as an order. Felt very rushed.
Food taste was good, but small portion size for the price. The haggis should have been under entrees.

We stopped here as we wanted some good Scottish pub food and it was a disappointment. The haggis spring rolls were bland, probably fried too many times, the colkannon soup was just cream with no corn chowder and the pie was just a disappointment, thinnest gravy ever with hard bits of steak
Wouldn't recommend for food, also overpriced.

Fish and chips: the fish was really dry. Apart from that nearly half of the menu was unavailable which was a shame and disappointing.

One of the worst place ever been. Braised lamb, ok, i was expecting pieces of meat or shank, but arrived a pulled Lamb, so spicy you could not feel the meat taste. Extremely expensive, 29 quid each plate. dont go there for food. In scotland get a nice pub food and you will be ok.

As soon as I walked into the restaurant I was greeted with the stench of manure. After getting over that smell I discovered what I can only describe as some sort of slime (lots of it). The staff were very rude and I heard a good few derogatory misogynist remarks coming from what seemed like the kitchen. One of the waitresses had toilet roll stuck to the bottom of her beat up shoes (not very professional) never returning!!!!!!!!!!

We were following friends advices and went to the restaurant next door, which was full and too crowded for our taste. We went by the Whiski Rooms, went in and it was the best decision to be made that evening. The food is excellent, the scottish pie is a blast, and the whiskies are terrific (the Ledaig 10 years ?) . Great atmosphere, noce music, excellent service.
Don't hesitate, go there !

We stopped off here at the whiski bar and had a lovely meal for 2. We had the salmon fillet and the house burger. The salmon was a very nice treat, and the burger was top tier, the chips were very nice. I will say however the pepper sauce was £4 extra, which was a lot considering we already ordered a lot of food. Also I think some of the staff could have been a bit nicer and welcoming, as I sometimes found they didn?t even want to help us, and if they are including a service charge for a party if 2, you should at least make the customers feel like it?s deserved. Overall would recommend however

The Cullen Skink and the haggis was very good. Been here a couple of times before with friends and family never been disappointed.

I suggest next doors restaurants or even side road food trucks instead of this one, don?t waste your money and your time here. You want to know why?
Long story short:
1. Low quality
2. Rude staff
3. Delay in service
By the way you asked me send an email to explain everything but the email address was not valid and does not exist

very fortunately just wait less than 10 min when I walkin. The service good, environment good. Just about the food, I order potato salmon soup, haggis and dessert. They show me haggis first before soup, I said it?s fine for me use starter and main together, but soup did get a bit cold by the end. And think the sauce in haggis might be a little bit overcooked cause the whisky taste bitter. But in any case, this was a very good meal.

Whiski Rooms is my fav place to eat, I always recommend it to people. The food is delicious authentic Scottish cuisine, amazing haggis, fish and chips, lamb, Scottish salmon and their Scottish whisky tastings are great with a expert explaining all the whiskies in detail around the taste, mouth and nose! The cocktails are also amazing, best whisky cocktails around! I highly recommend whiski rooms to everyone especially if you want great Scottish food, whisky, cocktails, and it has some of the best views in Edinburgh for sunset!
