Bank problem solved in record time!
In the middle of last month, my sister transferred the entire contents of her account in another bank to TSB so that she had all her accounts with one bank to make life easier for her, as she is in her 80's, has a cochlear implant but still has hearing difficulties, and is losing her memory. The money did not arrive in her TSB account but my sister did not realise this.
I drove to Edinburgh when she told me that she thought she was short of money (I have POA), and took her to the Cameron Toll TSB Branch. Toni Stevenson, who always helps my sister when she is in that bank, pulled out all the stops to get to the bottom of the disappearance of the cash. From my first visit on Friday March 28th, until my 4th visit on 4th April, Toni was there to help, not only in the Cameron Toll branch, but also in the Musselburgh TSB branch (the staff there were excellent too).
Toni managed to use information I obtained from the other bank to do some rapid detective work and discovered that a keying error in one digit had been made by the other bank. She actually accompanied us to the other bank to show them the evidence of the error. The other bank was then able to get the account reinstated and retrieve the money to enable us to transfer it back to TSB just before the end of tax year deadline for topping up an ISA!
It was a close thing, and I'm convinced that, without Toni going above and beyond to help my sister (who was totally confused with it all and sometimes in tears, thinking that she had done something wrong), the other bank would not have managed to solve the problem within such a short timeframe. With my sister and I present, she and one of her colleagues even opened savings accounts ready for the money to be paid into them as soon as it became available.
The ISA was topped up just a couple of hours before the bank closed on 4th April! Too close for comfort!
My sister was relieved and delighted, and has been able to sleep properly again! We can't thank Toni enough for her patience, kindness and caring attitude towards my sister.
As I live over 50 miles from Edinburgh, it is comforting to know that my sister can go anytime to Cameron Toll TSB and get one-to-one help from Toni.

First time in a fair while having an issue and had to go in branch. Branch itself was beautiful and clean, and staff were so kind and patient. Daniel was especially helpful and made me feel at ease whilst helping with my issue. Also shout out to the fraud team for keeping me safe and being so patient as we had to go through all the questions with me being half deaf and needing stuff repeated. Can't fault any of them. They are all a credit to the company.

Honestly,while all the staff at this bank are very friendly and helpfull,we must praise Moryn for her outstanding professionalism,and friendliness.We have had an on going problem for months and getting no where until we had her help us.She refused to give up until the problem was solved much to our delight and relief.She is an asset to the TSB and a great help with the customers who see her. Thank you TSB and Moryn.

Member of staff was very rude to me in the branch and later during a call back to me unknowingly left a voicemail of herself and a colleague slagging me off! As someone who finds all social interactions difficult these incidents totally set me back into a dark place.

Their telephone service is non existent, a recorded message saying they are busy with customers then tells you to use their online banking then says Goodbye and thank you for calling!!!

Never answer phone calls

Followup: GWP of £50 and raised complaint to the Financial ombudsman- an additional £750 cost to this bank who tried to brush my complaint under the carpet.
Unhelpful. TSB have stopped customers from telephoning to find out if they can provide large denominations and shut all but 3 branches in a city of 550,000 forcing you to come in from miles away. Will tell you to visit Hanover St instead but not actually call them for you to save you wasting your time travelling. Also they deny the long waiting times exist to see a cashier when you complain to head office due to their slow service.

They never answer the phone,so whats the point of giving there phone number for customers to call if they don't answer,The branch manager wants to remember that she is there to serve the customer,not the other way round trying to bully and intimidate the customers if the raise concerns about there accounts and the way they are delete with in the branch at Cameron Toll,and may I add not all staff in the branch are like the branch manager.
