Place been refurbished very nice however was cold obviously no heating onSitting with scarfs round usFood average my fries were coldFriends curry blandAlso very annoying when making cocktails they have blender on bar which is extremely noisy not great when sitting having dinnerStaff very niceWont rush back sadly

Food was good and service friendly if a little slow. The menu is a bit limited but we found something we liked both starter and main course. The portions are generous and two courses had us completely full. We didn't manage desert.

Let me start by saying almost all my reviews are 5 stars. So rating somewhere as a 1 star is very unusual for me.Wife and I went tonight and had booked, which was good as it was v busy, so we had high expectations.We shared a starter that took half an hour to arrive and was cold. Staff were great, took it away and returned really quickly with a hot one, so not too sure why the first one took so long.Then waited ages for our main course and then ages to pay our bill.I'll finish by saying I'm 55 years old, we eat out a reasonable amount and aren't that fussy. But tonight I asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which the staff were happy to do. I can't ever recall asking to remove service from a bill before, so a first for me tonight.Such a shame, as what Corstorphine needs is a good restaurant and obviously lots of people rate this place, but I'll get a bus somewhere else next time, as Edinburgh is full of restaurants, so I've no need to return.

Staff are outstanding. New Years Day quiz. Placed is packed . Looked after like a king. Awesome atmosphere .Food is incredible. Staff go way and beyond. Lucy was The Best. Happy New Year to all , and the staff behind the front of house - I Thank You . Amazing food.Food & drinks: Brilliant - enough said.

Outstanding customer service!! Thank you so much to Linsey and Jade!! I had booked a table for around 23rd of December for 7 people at 5 however I got my times up due to the Christmas chaos and told all our family it was 5.30 instead. Unfortunately when my family got there our table had been given away (completely understandable due to the circumstances). The issue was i had paid a £35 deposit and I was struggling a wee bit with money due to Christmas presents for my far too many family members ? I had called the restaurant the same evening of the day of the booking around 8.30 to see if we could rebook for another day. The lady on the phone politely said if I could send an email or call tomorrow and a manager will be able to help me out with it. So I sent an email explaining the whole situation and requested to still be able to use my deposit on a new booking for the 27th for 4 people and the NEXT DAY lovely Linsey was able to get back to me telling me she completely understood my mistake and that she?d be happy to help. I am forever grateful for her as I know not a lot of places or people would be willing to help me. Moving onto the day of new booking we were greeted by Jade who was super friendly and had an incredibly positive attitude! We love those kinds of waiters she was so bubbly!! From start to finish nothing was too much for her and she was always going out of her way for us! I come to the Torfin with my boyfriend often and I?ve never once had a bad experience and this truly made my Christmas due to the care and kindness they?ve shown me and my family over the year including to my Grandma who loves coming down for her 1/2 price fish and chips after her palates ? Thank you to all the staff for a great year and incredible hospitality!

Really good GF menu and amazing cocktails. Have been several times and has always been consistent. We have enjoyed every visit.

We came one tuesday as it was half price fish & chips night and we were not disappointed! The portion sizes are very generous and even without the deal on very good for your money. They have a fantastic range of cocktails and the raspberry sorbet is amazing! We have been back many times since and can say it is our favourite place to go. Staff are always so lovely and accommodating

Another great night at Torfin. Great food, best service and a brilliantly friendly atmosphere. Family with kids, dogs, and baby- all well catered for. Always feels like you are welcomed as friends and staff definitely look after you. Will be back - again
