Been in Edinburgh for a year and been to many pubs and was even a bartender in one of the reputed bars in Edinburgh. But the behaviour of the bouncers especially the asian (i believe indian with glasses on and the white)(to be easy ginger) was so mean to my colleage who as supposed to be an african was denied entry because apparantly what they said was that they had issues like people like him and myself and 2 of my white friends can go in .When i got their entry stamp and while entering told them that dont be a racist i was denied entry as I said the word thats not supposed to be said but can be done.It would have been understandable if we were denied entry as we were drunk but it was not the issue as we were sober to have a great night there but had a terrible experience. For a country who is fair its common for us to face racism and what we are said to just live with that or face the conseqenses if we stand against it. So my point to the hive authorities is that please make sure that atleast the securities you hire has a minimum qualification or be a part of the society that thinks racism is fine. I would like to point out the indian or the asian one with glasses on who was such a racist and the other one who i dont want to say who worked in 12 march. I know this review wont have much impact in anyone but its from a common person who have to face this everyday. We went to stramash were we were all welcome and the bouncers were so welcoming and nice by even doing their job by asking for our ID'sPosting my stamp from hive even if i was denied an entry

Unfortunately been here a few times, every time without fail there has been nothing but disrespect from management, highly recommend to avoid the place, the bouncer with glasses and beanie and ginger beard thinks hes the beans on toast, quite embarrassing tbh

Bouncers are very unfriendly, disrespectful and aggressive. A man attacked me and my friends yesterday, harassing one of my friends (female) and hitting one of my friends (male) when he tried to tell him that he should leave our other friend alone. That weirdo did not listen and wanted to hit all of us. I think 3 or 4 security guards jumped him and hit him (as they should) but that was not enough for me. The head bouncer was so rude and did not really want me to talk to the police because of the clubs reputation (tbh do yall even have one?)Spoke to the police and obviously pressed charges. I just don't understand how it is possible that every single weirdo can enter this club. People that go there are just ??? idk like are u guys ok hahaha DONT GO TO HIVE !

Went there with a friend on Halloween night (Oct 28th). The place is somehow big but the smell is very strong (like wet mop). The bouncers are pity and rude, specially one that is bald and with glasses. The only good thing about the place is the prices for drinks! Really cheap and good!On this particular night it looks like that had way too many people and the access to the exit was blocked by the amount of people.I would go back on a different not so busy night

We were there last night for a Halloween party. The ginger-bearded guy who was standing in front of the door behaved very rudely. We were just coming from home to enjoy the party over there. The guy told us straight away to find another place without asking anything. This is not the first time that he has been behaving like that. We have seen him talking to people the same way. We have been to different places before and after. But I never had an experience like this. Also, we felt like he was more racist on us.We asked about the reasons. But that 'gentle man' doesn't have any answer.Our request to take action against him or remove him from there. He is not good for business and not good for business. He doesn't know how to be polite and doesn't know how to do his job.We will be there again next time for sure. If that guy behaves like that again. We are thinking to show up his real colour to the world.
