Probably one of the best fish and chips in the area, very good food, the tavern is great, unfortunately placing 4 stars because of the service, very slow and hostess being quite rude

I've never eaten here but I love this pub for it's atmosphere and really friendly staff. They always have a great selection of very well kept beers available at very good prices. A great Edinburgh pub.

Had been into the restaurant next door but the service was slow so we left. We then came across this wee place which had a good menu, attentive staff and good food. The restaurant area upstairs was being managed properly with the service following well.

Loved this place as soon as we walked in the door. Haggis neeps and tatties highly recommended. Whisky flights are a must. The staff were amazing.

Even in Festival month, The Auld Hundred keeps prices reasonable and service good. I dropped in for a quick pint, and wished I had time to stay for the evening.

Great pub to enjoy lunch, dinner, or drinks at. We had dinner as a family of four. The menu had a lot of traditional British pub fare. The fish and chips is divine. A must go to if you're looking for a true pub night out.

Myself, my mum, dad & boyfriend were here on the 9th August 25 for food and a few drinks before heading off to the Royal Military Tattoo @ Edinburgh Castle. We couldn't have picked a better place for food! It was well served. We ordered and it was at our table within half an hour all for the 4 of us. the food arrived piping hot. it's very rare to get food come to your table piping hot. I got the Balmoral chicken chips & veg, the whiskey sauce was creamy and delicious & I wouldn't normally go for this sort of dish but I made the right choice. It was lovely. the parents got the steak pie potatoes and veg and they couldn't recommend it enough, they said the meat was so succulent & melted in their mouth and it also came out piping hot. my boyfriend got the breakfast burger ? he said it was great mentioning the black pudding as something different and giving it an extra kick. drinks were great and staff were excellent, thanks and we will hopefully be back again soon!

I went on my own and was really impressed by both the food and the service. The wait staff were really contientious about taking care of me, and dinner really was excellent! This is a smaller restaurant above a bar, and I saw them turn away customers because it was so busy and they were booked out (Aug- Fringe and Tattoo in Edinburgh everything books out). Popular place! I would go back

Had the Sunday roast! Delicious. First Sunday roast so not sure how the others stack up. Huge Yorkshire that was perfectly cooked!
