Today, 19 Aug 2025, I was there 7:15 am, and the front door was closed. I tried to open manually (I thought maybe the doors are broken), but then I noticed keys are in and the manager is walking on the floor. On the sign with the opening times it's written that you open at 6am everyday? If something happened, why not put a note about what's going on, on the door, but maybe it was a time keeping issue?

Today, the security guard stared at me the whole time I was in the shop. He followed me from aisle to aisle, continuing to stare even when I changed direction.
I asked him what he was staring at and whether he planned to stare me down the entire time, but he didn?t acknowledge me at all. He just looked into the distance and pretended I wasn't there.
I should be able to shop without this frankly pathetic attempt at intimidation. Absolute worst.
I ended up leaving and going elsewhere.

Literally just popped in for a quick pizza to takeaway and cook. Not difficult! Went to the self service checkout? and this woman who works there comes over sooo rude! And obnoxious! Points at where I need to put the pizza for the ?checkout? area. I haven?t been to this store before and wasn?t sure, didn?t take long to figure this out myself either! But she comes over with such attitude! There was no need whatsoever for it. What an awful way to treat customers in front of a queue! Wouldn?t bother here again. Staff attitude is terrible!

This is my local Tesco Express and on the whole is a decent place to buy day to day items. The staff are great and friendly. However, there are some unfortunate shortcomings about this establishment. In particular, the store is generally quite untidy and feels unclean, and as other reviews point out it shuts much earlier than the stated closing time at around 11pm instead of midnight. This means that it can be difficult to pick up some late night snacks if one so desires. Overall it is an okay place to shop for small items.

Self checkouts are poorly maintained. Rarely have paper for receipts and constant problems with scanning club cards.

Good store to get day to day items especially for tourists. The staff are helpful. Majority of the checkouts are automatic self checkout. Reasonable prices and good quality fresh produce.
